    Introducing Cats (again)

Hey there, I made a post a few weeks back about introducing a younger male, Ossie age 1, to my older male, Chai, age 13. Ossie kept going after Chai (chasing him, bothering him, etc.) I think it's mostly play related, but Chai is growly/hissy and also runs away so that sparks Ossie's prey drive...

    Introducing Cat Troubles

Thank you so much for saying all of that, I have wondered that same thing! Unfortunately I don't think we're at a place to get a third cat, we live in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom place so wouldn't be able to happily keep a 3rd cat separate while we wait on introductions again :/ And it took...

Sending foster back to the facility - extremely guilt ridden

Oh my goodness, my heart goes out to you! I'm so sorry you're having to go through that, I too would be frustrated at the coordinator, not a great situation since you just lost your kitty :/ I hope they can somehow remedy this situation, and connect you a healthy kitty to help with your healing...

    Introducing Cat Troubles

Oh! and thankfully when Ossie was on the plane and broke out of his carrier, he was riding in the cabin with a flight nanny. She sent pics and he was happily curled up on her lap for the duration of the flight. I do feel bad though for how scared he must've been to break through the carrier...

    Introducing Cat Troubles

Thank you so much for posting! definitely helps me not feel so alone :) I'm with you! I have wondered ever since I've had Chai if he would accept a new cat, so really wanted to try. How are your girls doing? I've backed off and just have the screen up between my boys (but have it on Chai's...

    Introducing Cat Troubles

I'm sure that's a big part of it :/ I'd be totally fine for my two to just tolerate each other but I"m unsure if it can get to that point even. How did your situation turn out, did you keep both?

    Introducing Cat Troubles

Thank you both for taking the time to respond! Older boy is Chai, and younger guy is Oswald (Ossie for short) :) I figure their reactions are pretty typical, I'm just nervous as they did have a fight. Most of their time together results in stare down/swishy tails, and Ossie going after Chai. I...

    Introducing Cat Troubles

Hey there, I need some help! I know this is a long read, I want to lay out the details to see if I've missed something, and seek any advice!) I got a new cat almost 2 months ago and we've had a challenging go of things. My new cat is a fixed male 1 yr old oriental shorthair, and my older cat...

    Kiki diagnosed with Pancreatitis

Any updates on your baby @MeowHiss ? Hopefully she's doing ok! My boy got diagnosed with pancreatitis after a bad vomiting/diaherria episode and they put him on the Hills food too. He eats it and has had only a few vomiting bouts but am trying to research more with this disease. I don't love...
