Greg, she may surprise you and make noticeable progress a short while after you get her back home. That has happened with more than one of my fraidy cats in the past. It's almost as if they think about it a little, and realize that things really aren't so bad where they've been living.
I'll bet you're right. My indoor/outdoor cat doesn't show much interest in my garden plants, except for liking to sleep under big grasses. I'd worry about pollen from a true lily falling on a cat and being licked off. But not daylilies, supposedly.
