Thank you! I actually have changed my mind too and think they might all be boys! I suspected that was the case originally when I first met them at my friend's house but this has been the hardest litter I've ever attempted to sex  I really don't know
(Sorry forgot to quote) I've posted another pic above.
That picture is larger so you're able to zoom in if need be! the all tabby looks for sure like a boy and the dominant white definitely a girl , so just the black and the tabby and white to go 🐈⬛😄
I forgot to add the picture that shows how this pattern happens with the spotted modifier gene. Spots can vary in size and shape and sometimes resemble the markings of a Bengal. Many people think they may have a Bengal mix when they have a spotted tabby, especially the classic type as they can...
Thank you! Yes, Unfortunately the pictures were taken on a DSLR and the file size is enormous, so it had to be shrunk down quite a bit which made the image far less clear. I have another if it helps? I think this one may be a tiny bit clearer :)
Thank you for your response!
Aren't they just! They're so sweet , especially the black one s/he is like a little bat, loves to hang onto you like one too😂🥰
So you don't think those are testicles on the black kit?
Hi all,
First I would like to state that these are not my kittens. A friend of mine fostered a pregnant mama and is currently raising this litter. I'm usually pretty good at sexing kittens, but we are both finding this litter quite difficult and would like some confirmation or second, third...
His pattern is spotted, but its what happens when a classic tabby gets the spotted gene too! That's why if you joined his spots up, he'd have the bullseye. This pattern sometimes resembles rosettes, but it isn't. Cats and kittens with these two genes often get quetions about Bengal ancestry...
Oh gosh, I see it now! I hadn't noticed that he was missing the marbling on his shoulders and flank/rear (I tought there was something unique about him) You're right I think, it looks like a mix of the two genes , both mackerel and classic.
How beautiful! 😻
I feed all wet too (but the brand is specifically a UK subscription, so I dont know if it'll work the same) I find adding a little water smooshing the food up with the water and putting in the microwave for just a few seconds until it is luke warm makes it smell stinckier and changes the...
I'm so sorry to hear your kitty isn't well 😔
If the vet hasn't picked up on anything could he be periodically dehydrated? What does he eat?
Maybe adding some water to his food could help?
We had a horrible heatwave here and both of my kitties had trouble with a bit of dehydration and water...
He's gorgeous! What a sweetie, I'm so glad you rescued him ❤️
I love the names Toast, Colby and Brighton (I've been there many times)
Since you suggested Congac , How about Hennessy , Remy (Remy Martin) or Martell 🥰
Boogers is absolutely beautiful. What a lovely kitten!
I can't suggest anything about bobcats, but his tabby pattern is called "classic tabby" and he's a longhair.
So for now I'd call him a domestic longhair classic tabby 🥰
I got my first kitten Akila from a friend who had an accidental litter. Unfortunately, she wasn't equipped nor very educated on caring for a very young mother and kittens. I tried to help educate her but she ended up needing to let the kittens go very young. They all went to friends at barely 8...
She's just had her annual and the vet did look inside her mouth so I assumed they would have noticed or mentioned something about her teeth, but she must've just been checking her gums and throat or something. I'm going to see I can get her teeth looked at specifically , but in the meantime...
Thank you so much! I got her thinking she was a black tuxedo and she ended up turning silver, then settling on black smoke. She was a little chameleon!
I'm going to be honest in that I don't think your girl's roots are light enough to be considered smoke as I think they must be entirely...
OK perfect! And no worries, I order mice/quail/rabbit/pheasant/squirrel/pidgeon/duck/chicken etc from pet food suppliers, so they are bred specifically for reptiles, cats, ferrets, birds of prey and dogs. While they do sell some wild caught game , I always order domestic bred as I'm very...
Oh dear, that is a little concerning that regular vet checkups don't generally address teeth! I'd assumed since they had a look at her mouth that if it was of concern, something would have been said 😖
I'll definitely have to have a look around for a dental specialist as I'm in quite a rural...
Hi, I'm just a little concerned about my cats teeth. She will be 1 year on the 15th of this month and she seems to have quite discoloured teeth with quite a but of plaque/tartar already! I'm not sure if this is normal for cats of her age?
She's on a wet diet (An all meat subscription diet here...
That's perfectly fine and you're most welcome! You can quote messages to directly respond or add an @ before name to respond or ping a specific person, but as I commented here people who have responded will get a notification anyway! :)
Sounds like Lunamoon's mama gets what's called rusting, I...
