Hi… I’ve done several posts here before about Oliver and have had more help here than the vets.
olivers intestines have been so filled with gas and his stomach has been making the craziest noises since an acute even in October that he hasn’t eaten normally since then. He has lost weight from...
Hi… I’m so sad to hear all of these stories. Oliver had an ultrasound with an FNA of his spleen in November. The oncologist said it was histiocytic sarcoma. It is so rare in cats that information is hard to find. The oncologist wouldn’t do anything for him unless I had a biopsy. Oliver is 14...
The urinating has definitely slowed down. I have prazosin if it doesn’t stop. I will request the records from his ER stay and go over with his dr when he’s back from vacation. Oliver and I need some rest and recovery time. He’s doing better and appetite is coming back fast.
I have one other question… all of a sudden, starting this morning, Oliver started urinating a little bit every hour to two hours. I told the internist and she said it can happen when they come home from a vet stay (I have never heard this) she said Watch him closely and as long as he’s urinating...
He was on unasyn first in the ER. Then clavamox. But she said stop the clavamox because he was negative.
What if it wasn’t a toxin that got to his liver but something that irritated his intestines so incredibly? Is that possible?
I have all the reports, etc. up until this past visit.
I know the creatinine was high and white blood cells were high but I have to get that report. I went back to my old vet that I trust but he got involved after it all started, so he’s reading all the reports and there are a lot
thank you for...
I really appreciate all of the information here and I look things up here before I do anything just to see opinions and experiences. You could never frustrate me by listening.
I think she meant negative for UTI. Does that make sense? I was so stunned that I couldn’t ask many questions. So I guess the antibiotics were for a kidney infection. Or do the fluids take care of the infection?
Since 10/27, when he ingested soil which I believe had toxins in it, he hasn’t been...
Just got some test results in. Negative for infection, I assume that is urinary. No cancer cells found in spleen on FNA. So basically I’m back to square one, he ate soil. He’s had four ultrasounds, 2 FNA’s, 2 X-rays and they can’t find anything wrong. I keep saying he ate soil, he needs an...
Hi.. last night he started eating gradually and through the night. So that’s one less thing to worry about.
I heard the s boulardii can have a taste to it and Oliver will sniff it right out. Is that true that there is a taste or smell?
Hi…. Oliver came home from the hospital this morning after being admitted on Friday. He had a kidney infection.
2/1 his creatinine was 2.2 and 2/11 it was 3.1. After fluids and antibiotics, he’s back to 2.3.
My first question is the dr keeps saying it’s kidney disease. If they have an...
Oliver ate this morning and threw up. We went 2 days with no throw up. I know this shouldn’t be happening and took him to the ER this morning. Since I was there last week, I was able to get an appointment with the internist. Bloodwork, GI panel, CBC sent out to lab, 4th US, second FNA of his...
The ER vet never said he had pancreatitis. He told me the diagnosis was diffuse enteropathy. He never said pancreatitis. There are no words to explain how confused I am.
How long do you have? Lol. I posted a few other times in detail but I’ll try to narrow it down here.
10/27. He got into a plant that I repotted with soil that may have had fertilizer or fungus in it. He threw up but wouldn’t eat a lot. (This also happened 7 years ago and they wanted to...
