    Cat not eating well.

I guess I am nervous because a month or two ago her sister stopped eating and I didn’t notice for a few days. (The sister is more timid and likes to eat undisturbed). We almost lost her. So now snowflake is off her food and I don’t want it to get that bad

    Cat not eating well.

I guess I wasn’t clear. She is eating between 2.5 oz and 3 oz of wet food. Not two and a half 3 oz cans. I am still trying to get her to eat some dry food as well but I have not tried softening it. She doesn’t seem to be in real distress so I will wait till tomorrow and go to the appointment we...

    Cat not eating well.

My cat (12 year old) gets fed wet food in morning and dry food the rest of the day. On Thursday she ate her wet food but did not eat her dry food. I realized she hadn’t eaten the dry food on Friday morning. On Friday morning she wouldn’t eat much of her wet food and was even more lazy. I...

Chase her away from the cat bowls but let her eat at the dog food bowl. Just don’t let the cats eat the dog food. I know it’s a hassle but at the barn the females back...

Should I just give up on feeding ferals?

Sounds like the friendly new cat needs to be trapped and given a home. It probably a pet that was abandoned and has no idea how to hunt. If you stop feeding it it is likely to die. The reason it stays is it’s a pet that doesn’t know what to do. The racoon females get aggressive about food this...

    Cat recovering from hepatic lipidosis

Sorry it was A/D food. She has never been a fan of wet food. And now when she smells the A/D wet food she runs thinking I am going to syringe feed her. Right now She is sitting on my lap and I offer her two kibbles every 3-5 minutes from my hand. She will eat 1 or 2 of them. Every 10-12 or so...

    Cat recovering from hepatic lipidosis

She does not have pancreatitis or kidney issues. I don’t know what IBD is. Force feeding was giving her I/D food with a large syringe. She is getting mirtazapine transdurmally plus a pill for nausea and B12. I was giving her fluids under skin but today she is not dehydrated and is drinking...

    Cat recovering from hepatic lipidosis

I called it hepatic lipidosis because that’s what the vet called it. I looked it up and it’s also called fatty liver. She was also jaundiced
