I wish -- it's not constant but it is often and is pretty random.

    Reaction to FVRCP/Rabies Vaccine

She is much better now thank goodness! I will definitely keep this in mind for if she needs more vaccines in the future. The ER vet I took her to said they will send all documents to my primary vet, so they should know at this point. They are closed on weekends so I'll be calling tomorrow to...

Cat acting scared of it's tail?

Update 1/31/22: In terms of the vaccine reaction, Millie is a lot better -- basically back to normal. She was on Onsior for the three-day period and she vomited a couple times which I am guessing is from the pain pills. I'll keep an eye on that but I'm not too concerned because I believe that...

Thanks for your reply! The vet did check the anal sacs and said everything seemed fine on that end.

    Reaction to FVRCP/Rabies Vaccine

I posted an update about this in one of my other threads, so if you also saw that, I apologize for the repeat. My cat Millie received her 1 year FVRCP/Rabies vaccine today. The vet explained that it is a two-in-one sort of deal and ultimately lasts longer, so I decided that made the most sense...

Cat acting scared of it's tail?

Update: Thanks everyone for your responses! The vet ruled out fleas/mites and said there was no sign of a fracture or anything. She also wasn't in pain when the vet tried moving her legs and tail around. The vet explained that there are of course many things that it could be related to, as it...

Cat acting scared of it's tail?

Hi there my cat Millie has been acting pretty scared of her tail the last couple days and chasing/running away from it. She's licked it a little bit but largely hasn't licked or bit at it. This is definitely a new occurrence and has seemed to been going on a fair amount the last couple days. She...

    Cat sleeping under bed/couch more?

Hi Millie is about 9 months old! And yes it has started to get warmer outside and we've been having the windows open. Both under the bed and couch is carpeted, but she has been enjoying laying on the tile in the kitchen and bathroom lately.

    Cat sleeping under bed/couch more?

So I have had my cat Millie since January, so about 3 months now. When I first got her she adjusted quickly and slept in a fuzzy bed I got her almost every night. For the past month or so, sometimes she takes her naps under my bed, in a little cardboard house I got her, and currently, under one...

    Meet Millie!

Although her health issues have caused me a lot of stress, we're working through them together as a team. I love her dearly and am so glad I chose to adopt her from a rescue!

    Meet Millie!

Hi everyone! I already posted in a forum but just stumbled across this one! Here is my sweet girl Millie! She is about 9 months old and I adopted her around 3 months ago. She's had some mild health issues that we are still resolving, but she is very energetic and playful! I have spoiled her...

    Blood in stool?

Thank you pipperoo and FeebysOwner for your comments! Unfortunately, there was a small amount of blood again this morning. I was able to talk with one of the doctors at my vet and they recommended that we start with putting her back on the prescription GI diet for longer than last time to see if...

    cat sneezes alot

I think they commonly get a swab through the nose or mouth area. My cat was tested for a variety of upper respiratory diseases (including herpes) and that's how my vet did it. It had to be sent to another lab though, so it cost about $210.

    cat sneezes alot

Hi there! I know that kittens can get upper respiratory infections a lot and that they can take quite a while to clear up. If it is persisting like this, there could be the possibility that your kitten has herpesvirus. You could try administering L-lysine (I like the maple flavored gel on...

    Blood in stool?

Hi everyone -- my cat Millie is about 9 months and I adopted her about 3 months ago. Shortly after I first got her she was experiencing loose stool (not completely diarrhea) that soon developed small amounts of blood and mucus. The vet dewormed her again and was prescribed a medication for...
