    Second what has been said. New adoptions are stressful for parent and cat. If possible keeping kitty in a quiet dark room with few interuptions, litterbox, water and dry food so you can tell if anything has been eaten is probably ideal. If kitty is using the litter box I wouldn't worry yet.

    It's pricey, but when I was living in a small apartment I found the litter robot to be a lifesaver. I built a table/shelf around it to use as storage, and it self cleans after every use which is good for smell, and then you don't need two big tubs.
