No, because my vet said i don't need to. She gets kitten food though. She is developing just like her brother, just not as big. He does tend to push her off the nipple with his size but i often make sure she doesn't miss out.
I have a heard a couple times now that when the kittens meow and mama isn't with them she gently growles and sometimes hisses. But then she goes and lays down with them no problem. What does this mean?
How much time should they be spending with mother right now? Sometimes she comes downstairs just to lay down on the floor by me. If I lead her back she will go no problem tho. Also no pain meds because the vet doesn't have a safe option. I am monitoring her to see if it's worth the risk to help...
Girl went from 107-117 in 12 hours and boy from 100-107 in 12 hours. That sounds good right? Boy is a little slower and needs to be put on sometimes. Girl is a pro!
So she was doing great but she just moved them into a box in the corner of a closet and is growling a bit. I moved them out of there and made a safe box next to it and set them there. They are currently huddled together while she lays watching from a foot away...
I'm a little concerned about the temp of the area. There is a big fan
She has stopped licking herself. Luckily it was only a lot when I we got home. She's doing so well so far. Licking their behinds here and there. She hasn't left them yet. I meant 80 fahrenheit in the house for them. They...
Luckily she has let them nurse. The little girl is a feisty one and is doing great. The boy is a little dopy and took a bit to find the nipple. Mama is licking herself a lot and licking kittens lots. Is that ok? 80f ok since they are also with mom?
Thanks! She's awake, but not happy at all. She has two live kittens right now but isn't excepting them just yet. I appreciate all the info while i tackle this when they come home tonight.
I have hot water bottles and rice sacks. The house is also 75-80 because we burn wood so that helps. I...
I'd really appreciate some help on what I should prepare. My cat is currently having a c section and spay to get her kittens out. She was loosing amniotic fluid with no contractions. There were 2 heart beats detected and one not this morning. The vet doesn't know if she's able to save them or if...
She's in for a c section right now. She's also getting spayed. There are two with a heart beat still and one they can't find a heart beat. I will post another post but anything i should know or do or research of buy or prep for when she comes home and potentially with live kittens?
I did yes, they said to keep an eye on her but to bring her in to the vet in the morning. If anything changes, like bleeding then I need to bring her in.
i noticed some blood in the liquid drops on the ground. She's currently calmly laying behind the fire place like nothing's wrong. I'm going to make some notes and call the emergency vet.
Lost a lot more liquid along her way but it's all water like, no colour. Still don't see contractions or pushing. No meowing. Just pasing back and forth a bit. I let her out of the room to see if she wanted to find another birthing spot.
How soon after water breaking and no kitten should I be...
More mucus (plug) has come out, her back end is wet so I was wondering if maybe she lost some water? She's meowed a couple of times but I still don't see any visible contractions. She looks uncomfortable but not in destress.
