Stella & Chewy Wet Pate Food - Does this sound healthy?

I normally minimize fish also. I did feed him some of this and he seemed to really like it. But I'm also unsure about salmon. I feed him Halo Turkey pate, Weruva - 2 different pouches which are chicken based and simple ingredients, and 40% home cooked (with a cat supplement that is added to...

Stella & Chewy Wet Pate Food - Does this sound healthy?

I've never purchased from this company. Do they appear to be ethical and safe food? This was accidentally delivered as a substitute on my delivery order for other food: Marvelous Morsels Chicken & Salmon wet food. FULL INGREDIENT LIST Chicken, chicken bone broth, chicken liver, chicken heart...

Is an occasional small amount of goats milk okay for an adult cat?

Thanks Tobermory, I will go slow and keep an eye on him. He does have FIV and does have some sensitivities. I will watch his stools. Thank you.

Stressful situation when my cat only eats during the night

Could you try meat only baby food as a temporary way to get her to eat? It can’t have extra ingredients. I’ve done that before with a very sick cat and she did eat some. Maybe as suggested try less expensive wet food? Sometimes I put warm water on my cats wet food and he eats more of it. Pâtés...

Stressful situation when my cat only eats during the night

I sometimes use the online site “justanswer.com” to ask a veterinarian a question. It doesn’t replace a vet in real life but I have found it helpful before. If you are not happy with the answer you can have other vets answer it. They will have a chat with you until you are happy with the answers.

Is an occasional small amount of goats milk okay for an adult cat?

I don’t know why but my cat seems to love it. It’s been a long winter already and I have anxiety, so some days I feel jumpy and I feel like he knows that. He’s a lot happier (or that’s my perception) when I’m calmer. I do give him lots of attention but would like to give him a bit of something...

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

Also thank you for pointing out that seasonal allergies can also play a role. It had suddenly gotten colder too so that could also lower his immune system and make him more susceptible to other things.

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

Hi Thank you. Could an increase of a food cause more symptoms? Lately I was giving him more of the fish based food. I’ve stopped it since writing this and it seems better though I’m keeping an eye out for any other symptoms. He’s scratching less but I’m still watching him. The chamomile tea is...

How toxic are Christmas trees for cats?

Use large round plastic (break proof) or no ornaments at the bottom where the cats might play with them. Be aware real trees have tons of mold so watch also for allergies. (Wheezing, skin issues, etc) Don’t keep it too long (mold, dried needles) and vacuum frequently under it. I just don’t...

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

He now has a sore spot on the back of his head, lower down and this is the kind of sore that he has had recurring. They scab up and then eventually heal. I have felt it was either overreaction to insect bites or from a food allergy. So I have stopped feeding him the fish based food. Put warm...

How to fix dry flaky skin

I know this is from a month ago but sometimes I take a warm damp washcloth and give my cat a mini bath, just wiping him a bit with the washcloth. My thinking is it's just occasionally helping get dust, etc off his coat and he seems to feel happy after I do that. I gently wipe his face and areas...

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

The vet online seems to think it is likely allergies and that the skin on the cats ear is very thin so the raw areas and little sore are likely because of the scratching.

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

I also just saw this. It is about the size of a pin head. It is raised. Like a little blood blister. It is not oozing anything, it seems intact.

Possibly inner ear irritated, slight abrasion on back and in front of ear, scratching

I just noticed him scratching his other ear too a few minutes ago. I don't know at all if it's related but when brushing him lately he does seem like he's feeling like his skin is somewhat generally dry and itchy. I'm covering one of the windows tonight (keeping out cold draft also helps the...
