She'll eat once I clean her nose. So do it few times a day. I haven't seen her drink much water.. maybe the bowl is too small? She will drink my dogs water but almost fall in.
I know there is more wellness coming. But I cant get over how happy she looks.
Will her coat get better as the sickness starts fading? I havent seen her drink much water. What's the trick???
I got eye drops, an oral medication for nose(goes in fridge) and the third thing I forgot what it is used for. They gave me 3 syringes pre filled. Those are once every 24 hours. Once I get home I can let everyone know what they gave me
Ya I can do that. I get home from work around 12:30 am central. They diagnosed her with the chlamydophila virus. If that helps. She had sores in her mouth already from it too.
Update: it's an upper respiratory infection. Had we waited longer, as my son would say she'd be on a rocket ship to see baby jesus. They said continue what I'm doing and give her antibiotics. Only 6 weeks old so cant do any tests yet
Ok. I read one or two articles that it could be breathing problems related to something. I think it said if the voice box isnt vibrating is a breathing issue? New to me
Shes been purring alot while walking around my neck. I know that's known for happiness and content but could it be a breathing issue? If so how could I check?
I agree. However she was able to open them. Once I cleaned her eyes and nose the best I could she was completely different. And yes Wednesday at 930am. As I said unfortunately no one around here is walk in right now. Otherwise I wouldve went in monday
After running hot water in the shower last night and cleaning her eyes/nose. She spent 15 minutes walking around me sniffing my neck and playing with my beard. My heart felt so warm hearing her actually taking deep sniffs. I'd put her on my lap she'd walk back up.
I've been cleaning her eyes gently with a cloth. Seems to help for a bit. I'll try the shower. I've also seen someone use children saline nose drops. Anyone try that here?
Thank you! What else do/did you feed them? We grabbed Iams healthy kittens. Supposedly has nutrients from mothers milk. She wont touch actual milk or soft food.
She was found outside. 6-8 weeks old. Very playful, eats/drinks, and uses the box. As you can see she is having eye and nose problems.. I'm bringing her in Wednesday (appointments only). Hopefully I can Tuesday instead pending on what everyone thinks. I've heard feline leukemia.. really hoping...
