    How does ringworm work?

I understand that oral medication helps to kill the ringworm that has already taken root on the skin, however is it possible for reinfections to occur without bathing with medical shampoo (even if the environment has be sanitised) because the spores are still present in the fur? Previously my...

Cat crouching and hiding, not eating after long bout of medications

My cat is female, spayed, 4 years old. The horrors began a few months ago when I noticed a lump in her mouth which wouldn't go away despite being on steroids for a week or so. Concurrently, she also had ringworm, and she was on itraconazole for 2 months. They also gave her an antibiotic shot as...

Cat getting ringworm on the exact same spots

My cat was on 2 months itraconazole which pretty much cleared up her ringworm for a while, stopped for nearly a month and it's back IN THE SAME SPECIFIC SPOTS ALONG HER BACK. I'm going to thoroughly sanitise my home again, but why is it that she's getting it again in the same areas?

I haven't had the chance to sneak a peek when she's going number two but it's NEVER on the bottom of her paws. Hence I gather that she might have gotten them stained...

How to get new kitten to eat

I introduced a 1 year old kitten to my two 3 year old cats. They are not aggressive towards her and mostly nonchalant, one of them tries to come close from time to time to sniff the kitten only to be met by hissing, where he gets the idea and walks off. The kitten began hiding so I placed her...
