Try and bottle feed them all 1 at a time, they need to be drinking 2-3mls every 2 hours.
If they haven't nursed in 5 hours they need to be feed NOW!
If mum has gone off her food and not nursing, there could be multiple reasons. Did she pass all the placenta's? Were you counting? 1 for each...
His favorite sleeping place now is under my chin π€£ which means I lay in 1 position all night too petrified to move lol, but completely unable to put him anywhere else because he screams the house down like someone is murdering him when he isn't with me ππ #spoilt!!!
Grams is better, you'll notice very quickly any loss in weight (which is a good, at that age it's imperative you pick it up quickly if there's a problem).
As for what to put them in.... my furbaby was jumping, climbing and an escape artist at 3 1/2 - 4 weeks.... hes now 5 weeks old and would put...
My vet told me 5 weeks ago when my furbaby had her kitten, to keep her indoors as there is a high likelihood she will get pregnant again if let out. So if she has been outdoors, YES very likely she may be pregnant. That being said, my girl is eating nearly triple the amount of food she normally...
I have learned a lot in the last 5 weeks caring for this little one,(it's bedtime in Australia π₯°π€£π€£) and one of the main things my vet rammed into me "make sure the kitten stays warm, they dont regulate their own heat until about 8weeks and the cold will kill a kitten faster than anything else"
Are you seeing if the separated kitten is feeding? If it is not feeding at a minimum of every 3 hours from mum, you need to step in! Also, they can't regulate their own heat, so being away from the warmth of mum and /or it's siblings could have this furbaby go down hill quite quickly!!
Omg they are beautiful!!!
Yes I was feeding, first every hour, then 2 hourly 3 hourly and now every 5 hours lol, but now onto weaning and toilet training π€£π₯°
I swear kittens are harder than newborn babies lol
This one is 5 weeks today π₯°π he was so teeny, I never thought we would get here!!
To top...
My vet said to me after we took her home, when the 1st kitten was stillborn to count the placenta's, there should be the same amount of placenta's as kittens, if not and she doesn't pass them all, to take her back to the vet as it would make her very sick if she doesn't pass them all.... they...
Bub went to 3 hourly feeds, she jumped to 194grams!!!!! Little fatty lmao! They said they wouldnt spay her because if she was desexed her milk wouldnt come in and whatbwas there would dry up within 3 days, she ended up with mastitis, unsure if she even has milk, so could've been a waste not...
When she went into labour, at about 11am.... after almost 3hrs of crying, contractions and pushing at about 145pm the first bub was breach and got stuck in the birth canal π₯ i tried all the suggestions but couldn't help baby out, i drove her to the vet and was taken in immediately.... they...
Still waiting, she went into labour about 145pm Sydney Australia time... the first kitten was breach and got stuck, took her to the vet, thry did an ultrasound and said take her home and wait.... 5hrs later, still nothing π₯
My cat is in the process of delivering her kitrens.... 1st one was stillborn π£π₯ i took her to the vet who did an ultrasound and said the remaining have heartbeats and take her home to await the arrival of the remaining kittens. How long is it usually between each kitten birth?
Seriously the ups and downs throughout this post had me biting my nails..... i thought i was anxious yesterday about my furbaby being, now im a nervous wreck at the thought of this delivery πΆπ₯
