Peeing after being treated for UTI

100% success! I tested it for over a week. The length of my litter pan was the issue. See details in my related post at https://thecatsite.com/threads/where-can-i-find-something-to-use-as-a-long-narrow-litter-pan.446583/post-5558098.

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

Success! Just barely sufficient, but it is 100% working. I tested it over the past week. I swapped out the old 19" long litter box for one 21" long. Two inches made the difference. Princess now consistently urinates in the front left corner of the litter pan, and then turns around and...

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

[Cross-posted from another thread]: I am making progress. Yesterday, I got rid of my 19" long litter box, and put in a 21" one instead (standard stream-table size). Princess got most of her pee inside the box this time, with just a tiny bit on the floor. I will construct a longer, custom...

Thanks for the suggestion. A little spray paint sure beats fiberglassing :yess: !

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

The liner is a 2 mil drawstring bag. It makes disposing of the litter effortless. Pull the drawstrings tight, and take the bag to the curb for trash pickup. Thank you for the thought though. But without the liner, I would still need to transfer the litter to a plastic bag, and clean the pan.

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

P.S., It looks like someone bought a quantity of steam pans, and is reselling them as litter pans. Good for them! P.P.S., This has been a busy day. I also just ran out of Litter Locker refills, which are no longer available. So I swapped my Litter Locker out for a Litter Champ instead. I...

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

Wow! Our thoughts are in the ethers, interacting. I bought this exact one four months ago, and just installed it today. I added feet to it to keep it off the floor and out of any pet urine. I also added a litter liner to make it easier to change the litter. It is still not long enough, but...

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

Thank you for your suggestions. I am constrained by the laundry tub. Not a lot of room elsewhere. I will check out storage containers, and also building one. If I use a heavy, disposable liner, then there would be no need to fiberglass. On a different thread, someone also suggestion an...

Peeing after being treated for UTI

Thanks for the thoughts. I have no room in the laundry room, but I could put a second box in the basement. I have a few things to try first. I am in the process of swapping out the old litter box for one slightly longer, and adding a liner. I will also make the litter deeper. She has trouble...

Peeing after being treated for UTI

I have a similar problem. My 18-year old cat poops in the litter pan, but pees on the floor in front of it. Per the vet, she does not have a UTI. The vet suggested some dementia, but I have my doubts. I have also tried a bladder control remedy -- Homeopet "Leaks No More", to no avail...

Where can I find something to use as a long, narrow litter pan

I need a litter pan 24" or 25" long and about 13" wide. Where can I get a custom-size pan? Plastic? Stainless steel? My laundry tub has feet with 13" between them, and my current litter pan is only 19" long, but I have a long cat who does not quite get all of her pee into the litter pan.

Where can I find (or make) a long litter pan? Around 14" x 23"

I will take a look at The Container Store. I have googled containers of the desired size of 14" x approx 23", and chased a lot of false leads. But I will keep looking.

Where can I find (or make) a long litter pan? Around 14" x 23"

Thanks. I have been googling for a while. As they get deeper, they also get wider. I have been thinking about joining two pans. I was concerned about the strength of the bond. It takes a little force and tilting to get the pan out from between the laundry tub legs. The suggestion to use...

    Fleas!

An effective tool get help get rid of fleas in the house, is to have flea traps throughout the house. The kind that I found effective are a 7" circular plastic gazebo-looking construction, with a small night-light bulb in its ceiling, and a circular sticky disk on its floor. There are several...

    Cat Litter Advice

I use World's Best Cat Litter (original, unscented formula). It is made from corn. While I change the litter pan outside, some dust is carried away by the air. But after that, there is zero dust. It clumps beautifully. I scoop it daily into a litter locker, and change it when it gets low.

Where can I find (or make) a long litter pan? Around 14" x 23"

My cat outgrew her litter pan. She is a long, thin cat. She stands on the floor with her front paws on the kitchen table. Her current litter pan is 14" x 19". The 14" is the maximum width that will fit between the legs of the laundry tub. But the 19" is too short. Some of her urine doesn't...

How do I train a cat to use a door bell.

Thanks for the suggestion about the pet doorbell mat. The mat is too wide to sit on the top step leading up to my sliding glass doors, which is where I would need it.
