Sleep tight little kitty, you had a good life with a loving and caring cat parent.
It's the hardest decision to make and maybe one of the most precious gifts - releasing them from suffering or pain. Hope you're doing ok.
❤
I saw your thread earlier today Elbee, and that you suspected a virus. That def crossed my mind too! Me and my partner both had the corona virus recently and I've read that pets can get it too.
But maybe that would have shown up on the blood test (infection?). Who knows?
Glad your boy is...
I'm not sure quoting works on my phone? I tried yesterday without success:D
Elbee: is your cat ok now?
My vet had no clue of what caused it "sometimes it just happens".
The pred is for the inflammation and mirt for appetite. I only got one pill tho (and give 1/4 of it every 3rd day). I hope...
It's completely flat and he's 2.5 years old. Like black-ish freckles, very strange. One large and a few smaller ones.
I think I'll try a video call vet, I got some free ones with my insurance. Thanks for replying! :)
We went back to the vet on Sat when he started feeling bad again, finally got him started on prednisolone and mirtazapine.
He's been eating a lot and saw vet again for follow up (they did an ultrasound for free this time, very kind of them!). Gallbladder looked a little thick/inflammed still...
Thank you everyone, I miss him a lot. He's still not home. :(
He seems fine, but still not eating on his own. They want to do a third ultrasound because they're worried about a foreign object in his colon/tummy since it's still filled with gas. I'm sort of freaking out worrying about lymphoma...
Might be a stupid question but have you looked inside their mouths?
Sounds like some sort of poisoning, I would try and find a vet that is open. Hope it turns out well for you and your cats.
They're keeping him at the hospital over night (at least) :(
He had some inflammation in his intestines, gall bladder (I think it's called? Not a native speaker) and some minor something on both kidneys.
Poor kitty, I had no idea it was this bad.
But the vet said the prognosis is good, which...
Hello!
I went to the vet today with my 3 year old cat because he's been a bit finicky with his food and not eating as much the last couple of days.
He's got a bit of redness/inflammation in his mouth so I figured that was it. It wasn't.
Just got his blood test results back and his kidney...
