It does sound dangerous for you. I am not in the same situation medically, but I have a former feral from my neighborhood. She was quite wild at first and wouldn't eat when she saw me near the food bowl. After several months she did what yours is doing - winding around my legs when I'd come out...
Some info that may encourage, although I have to stress I am not a medical person and this is from my reading about the nature of pandemics. There was a book I read years ago, The Great Influenza by John M. Barry, which was about the Spanish Flu of 1918. My grandfather caught that in boot camp...
Two years ago I posted on this site asking for help with a neighborhood feral I had taken in. I named her Mia. She was an adult who had already had one or two litters, been trapped and spayed by a TNR, and returned. She had attacked two neighborhood cats when she had kittens; their owner is a...
My son and his family got Covid just before Christmas. The first test he and his wife took came back negative, so they figured it was just seasonal flu. But then he spiked a fever and got another test about a week after his first one. It was positive. We had a Christmas celebration two weeks...

You're doing great, and so is she. All the above advice is wonderful. I had my cat, former feral, hide from me for six weeks before she would even come out for food when I was in sight. She only came out of hiding in the basement in the middle of the night when I was asleep at first. That was...
Just finished a 750 piece puzzle of spilled milk with a tabby cat. Left the cat for last. The final 50 pieces of shades of brown were the hardest part of the whole puzzle.
I think it will be a while before I do another tabby.
I was at a meeting on Monday evening and found out Thursday one of the people there had tested positive for COVID the next day. Thankfully we all had masks on, including her, and she was about 20 feet away from me for almost the entire time, so I am not considered at risk and don't...
I just finished "Sweet shop kitties" which has probably been done by someone else here. Nice and busy; 750 pieces. Started it two days ago, had a puzzle day yesterday and worked on it several hours morning and afternoon, then finished the tabby mom this morning. I have found if I cover my...
