    Best Flea Treatment?

So we purchased frontline plus, and treated all seven of our cats with it. This was nearly a three day process because we chose to separate all of them for 24 hours, and we're only able to separate 3 at a time atm. I called the vet to ask about best flea medicine, and regional immunity and...

    Ear Mite Medicine?

Hey guys! So I've been using olive oil to treat my cats ear mites and after the vet did her slide, she agreed that the treatment is definitely working, (took two cats in recently and vet swabbed the first cats ears and found NO mites, swabbed the second cats ears and found 3 mites, but all 3...

    What Is This Bump?

It is directly on top of his head, and it's roughly the size of a pea. That was as close as I could get. I will post the large version of the photo and maybe that will make it easier.

    What Is This Bump?

Hi guys, I had posted once about this a while back, but I wanted to share better photos to see if someone might recognize what this bump might be. My kitty Buddha will be 3 years old in February, and a few months back I noticed a black, circular bump on his head. I didn't think much of it...

    Low Respiratory Rate...when To Worry?

She'll be four in October, and yes that is her resting rate. We took her in last month for an eye problem, and she ended up having something called "cherry eye" which is a condition that is common in persians and hymalayans, so I'm guessing it's another issue caused by her having a flatter face...

    Low Respiratory Rate...when To Worry?

This is Artemis. I've had her since she was a kitten, and I honestly can't even tell you how much she means to me. She is my closest companion...my baby.:redheartpump: Anyways, I was checking her respiratory rate, just out of curiosity and it seems that she's averaging about 16-17 breaths per...

    Help Understanding Cat’s Ultrasound

I am so sorry that you and Carlie are going through this. I agree with above poster that calling your regular vet would be the best thing to do at this point, and go from there. Praying that everything works out and she heals from this. :redheartpump:

Extremely Needy Cat But I Still Love Him

When we adopted our kitten from the shelter she was a lot like this. She had to go everywhere we went and constantly clung to us...then she started peeing on my fiance's feet every night for a while. Our only solution was to adopt a companion for her. She mellowed out a lot after that.

    Stray Not Doing Too Well

Thanks for all you are doing to help this kitty and others before her. You have a wonderful heart. =)With that said, I would STRONGLY recommend keeping her separated from the other cats in your home (I saw you said you took in strays so I'm assuming they are still in your house) until she is...

    Best Flea Treatment?

Correction:I should have said "products within the isoxazoline class" I'm still not entirely sure what that means. I need to read more into it, but I see Bravecto is on the list too.

    Best Flea Treatment?

The reason I was considering revolution was because it supposedly protects against a variety of things, including heartworm, earmites and sarcoptic mange. However, there is an FDA warning about products with isoxazoline so I'm not sure we'll go that route. I was interested in Bravecto, but I'm...

    Best Flea Treatment?

    Best Flea Treatment?

Hi all! We're treating our kitties next week, and I'm looking for the most effective flea treatment. Trying to decide between advantage, frontline and revolution. Wondering what everyone else uses to keep the fleas under control. I'm also open to other suggestions if you have them. Thanks. =)

How Many Indoor Cats Do You Have?

We have seven in a five bedroom, two bathroom house. All strictly indoor. For the last 3 years we've had five, and I said "no matter what happens, we are NOT taking in anymore cats." Two months ago my fiancé and I went out to run some errands, while my mom and daughter were playing in the...

Diarrhea And Inappropriate Elimination From Canned Food?

Hi guys! Just wanted to provide another update on Athena. We took her into the vet today and she prescribed us endosorb suspension for the diarrhea, and albon tablets for possible coccidia. They also checked her ears and found 3 earmites, however they were already dead. We had been using olive...

    Neutered Male With An Erection?

Thank you for your comment. :) I will definitely ask the vet about it, but I feel a lot better knowing this is a normal occurence. I have another neutered male kitty (Buddha's daddy) who has never done this so I wanted to be sure.

    Neutered Male With An Erection?

Yeah, that's what I've gathered from browsing other posts on this site too. If he was doing it all of the time or something I'd be more concerned, but seeing as he only does it with me I am assuming it's behavioral. We'll see what the vet has to say. :)

    Neutered Male With An Erection?

Okay. He doesnt direct this behavior towards any of our females or objects in the house, and I never see it happen anytime other than when he is kneading on me. I am definitely going to ask our vet about it tomorrow though. I never considered the fact that the surgery could fail. That is unsettling.
