I had a whole little of 5 young kittens with one eye infected each. All behaving normally. In the one to two weeks it progressed to mild sneezing. They were all started on doxy and eye drops. Now they are better. At the shelter they don't test for the exact microorganism.

My understanding is that "no-kill" shelters don't kill animals due to lack of space even if they are young. Typically only very sick animals who can't be saved are euthanized. Young kittens are fostered out until they are old enough to be adopted.

You can try dryer sheets too. That seems to work okay unless it is really matted in. In that case use some sort of brush or wash cloth. I use a combination of vacuum, brush, wash cloth, and dryer sheets.

Cats are definitely very social animals. My cats are just like dogs and follow me around everywhere. They definitely don't judge you and don't like to argue. They just like to eat! lol

I don't buy cat food at tractor supply BUT I buy the horse pine pellets and use that as cat litter! Biodegradable and no dust, smells good. Cats use it well.
