Anything new with Cheyenne? Been following your thread. The nutri cal was what that gel was called I’m glad you got some. Hopefully your cat ate it more than mine did. hope your baby is ok and you found more about what is going on
I am sad to hear about her appetite loss ☹️ I have heard of people using turmeric, I think anything natural that could help is worth researching. There is some nutritional high calorie gel I got from my vet for midnight’s calorie intake to increase when he had low appetite. It was affordable I...
How is Cheyenne doing? I’ve been reading the thread and you’re doing everything you can for your baby!! This site has really helped me emotionally and educationally with my baby midnight. He was diagnosed with triaditis, we did a lot of trial and error with the food. Please keep us updated...
Have you tried litter attractant in the litter box or catnip? Is the litter box isolated from everyone so the cat has privacy? The cat may be reacting like you said to associating the bites with places in the home. it may be worth it to spray an all natural spray in the house that kills fleas...
MOD NOTE: merged post
My cat was recently diagnosed with triaditis. He’s on B-12 shots weekly. Unfortunately he isn’t gaining weight so I’m going to the vet to discuss the feeding tube this week. He was diagnosed with FIV about 9 years ago and this is the first time he has really been sick...
She’s so adorable and I’m happy to hear about the increased movements. I’ll have to check out more on Krista’s care to find out about the treatments! I got midnight on tiki cat food the after dark and the aloha packets he seems to enjoy them and appears to be doing better. He did lose .6 lbs...
Thank you for that....I was actually wondering about them working against each other....so I’ll hold off on the probiotic for now....I keep reading that dry food is a no go for pancreas issues, but wondering if the vet gave it because of the hepatic lipodosis or the IBD. I feel like he should...
The sites are a wonderful support! Thank you so much for all of the information it really has made me more comfortable about how my boy is doing. I didn’t do the vet university I wanted to find out what was happening with the ultrasound....think they would still be interested in his case...
His pancreas was the trouble, as I imagine ducts are clogged which has made his liver and kidneys work hard. However it’s manageable, he is on probiotics, high protein food, and will be getting weekly B12 injections. I asked about quality of life and the doctor said he is well, uncomfortable...
What useful information, thank you so much for sharing your ideas. I’m dropping him off tomorrow for the ultrasound so I’ll keep everyone posted. I’ll also ask about the B 12 and the pancreas test! I’m venturing out for a probiotic as well
Thank you for your response. I hadn’t thought of that. There are lots of universities, that is a good idea. I can research to see who to contact. It’s very strange what is happening. The vet said he isn’t in pain which is good, but I can’t imagine he’s feeling too great. I’m very grateful...
Hello everyone, I joined this site to see if anybody has any insights or experiences they can share. I have a cat who is FIV positive. He is 10 years old and was diagnosed with FIV about one year after I got him. For 9 years, his blood work was “normal” and vet said he was fine. But since...
