    Giant Breed Diet

He is currently 1.5 and is supposed to keep growing until he is 5, he is fixed. Part of the problem is he has kidney disease so most of his diet should be a wet or raw food(like darwins kidney support) with minimal dry, but to do that we have to have some idea of how much to feed him as it can't...

    Giant Breed Diet

Hello, I am going to have a large siberian cat who is currently 11 lbs and underweight. He should be 14 lbs and will likely grow to be in the 20-25 lbs range. I was wondering about how many calories per day he should be fed as he needs to gain weight, and giant breeds typically have a higher...

Need Cat To Gain Weight With Kidney Disease

That makes sense, they do include the phosphorous on a % basis in their pdf and it's .5%, also I guess the bigger question is how many calories per lb or per day he should be getting, as we really have no plans for making our own food, although we have purchased omega 3 fish oil to add to his...

Need Cat To Gain Weight With Kidney Disease

Thank you! Are there are pros of making your own cat food that would outweigh both my chance of screwing up the raw food and that Darwin's has the best kidney support diet I've found thus far?

Need Cat To Gain Weight With Kidney Disease

Yeah, we already found a raw food to feed, and we have no pet stores and we don't have that much faith in our ability to make our own raw food. Thank you for the video, and I will look into the Omega 3.

Need Cat To Gain Weight With Kidney Disease

We looked at Dr. Elsey's and it is too high in phosphorus, but we did look at other dry foods that are nutritionally sound as it's not feasible to always let him have raw food and since he's trying to gain weight, we plan on letting him free feed. Young Again Pet Food Zero Mature Health was...

Need Cat To Gain Weight With Kidney Disease

I am planning on getting a cat mid-May who has stage one kidney disease and is consequently underweight, as well as he is only a year old and is a giant breed that continues to grow until they're five. He currently weighs 11 lbs but should be 14 lbs. Apparently giant breeds need more food than...

    Siberian Breeders

Sorry this isn't relevant to anything but your cat's eyes are stunning, is your cat a specific breed or something, I've never seen brown eyes like that on a cat.

    Looking For Raw Food Suggestions

Yea I'd prefer to stick with Darwin's over the 85% I would go to a pet store but the closest one is a pet smart 2 hours away, the only store we have is Walmart so everything pet wise is ordered online and shipped as Walmart doesn't have great choices.

    Looking For Raw Food Suggestions

I emailed Darwins about their bone content in the cat food to see if it was really that high, as I'd read somewhere it was 25% which is way too high, but Darwin's said the cat food raw is only 8-9% bone so I plan to continue with Darwin's in the future.

    Siberian Breeders In The Midwest

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of or has experience with Siberian Breeders in the Midwest, particularly Siberian Stars, or if you have any recommendations? We're looking for retired breeders.

    Siberian Breeders

We never planned to have just one cat at a time, we ended up with one at first because we fell in love with him but he didn't like other cats, but since Cat A likes other cats we don't want to lose that quality of her as well as lose the ability to have a second cat. We'd each like to have "our...

    Siberian Breeders

That makes sense, she has never been too concerned about her allergies as her general life plan with them is always just to add more medicine as needed, but she's also been on a version of allergy shots for 3 years now to reduce her cat allergy and her cat allergy has decreased and her allergist...

    Siberian Breeders

We are aware of this should mentioned it in this post but I'm pretty sure we mentioned it in the other one, we figured 2 low allergen cats would be equivalent or less than our usual one DSH, as Siberians significantly less allergen than the average cat, hence why we are now considering 2. She is...

    Siberian Breeders

Siberian stars also has retired breeders but we don't know as much about them, so we were wondering if anyone else has experience?
  18. Wilbur's Servant

    Siberian Breeders

One of the main concerns is that Cat A is already friendly with other cats, but given an extended amount of time on her own, she might grow to prefer being on her own, and treat even a slow introduction with hostility and that we'd be unable to have a second cat for the hopefully many years we...

    Siberian Breeders

Wilbur had to be put down due to kidney failure and a variety of other problems which is part of why we are looking for a purebred as we no longer have a cat with regular allergens.

Also if recommending a breeder, if you know, I'd like to know if all their cats have been scanned for HCM, and PKD as that's one of my girlfriend's ways of judging how responsible they are, along with what their fed, and where their kept and several other things...
