How about....B6? Homecooked recipe help requested

Thank you for the info! :) I’ve used that site (Hare Today) before and it works, it is just somewhat costly. The shipping and minimum order requirement...that part. As to “try ethnic markets”...well, that is problematic. Since I avoid feeding meat to my furry family members and to my human...

How about....B6? Homecooked recipe help requested

Thanks for the post boost. :) Yeah...the issue is that B6 is “naturally high” in raw pork and chicken....and that means I cannot use as much of them as I would like. Which means my cat would either just eat what I give her and lose too much weight OR be starving and constantly yowling for more...

How about....B6? Homecooked recipe help requested

On Tanya's CKD Site, it says that B6 and B9 need to be "watched" -- to avoid it becoming too high in a recipe, if homecooking cat food. B vitamins are in fact water soluble, but yes -- you can get too much of them at one time, and if a cat has kidney disease and/or other conditions, this can be...

Cat Trilling for the past two weeks or so & now has a hoarse meow/ losing her voice? HELP!

I would consider Feliway (the plug-in anxiety scented plug contraption for cats). It has helped 3 of my cats in the past, and they were all talkers! Siamese, in fact. Totally recommend! Amazon has them, so you don't even have to go to Petco to get one.

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

Oh in case anyone is wondering, just to clarify, I'll put this here: I am not wondering about 'anything IBD'....I am asking about a specific product and its ingredients, and wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience with this product or its ingredients....in hopes of helping a cat with...

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

Oh you're a darling; thank you for that. Unfortunately we've tried all those things. And I've read their website. And seen their group posts too! It's not a bad group, or site, but their advice is nothing new. At least, to me.... Sadly, I'm not a n00b to IBD. I'm only asking here because I've...

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

That was great, thanks; just edited the post title. Hopefully that will elicit a response by an IBD kitty guardian.

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

Thanks for that, knowing it's at least helped somewhat gives me a little comfort. As to 'searching'....man oh man I've looked. And everything I find that is recommended I've tried; believe me when I tell you I've tried all the usual things. Fish oil, CBD, CoQ10, Curcumin, etc....I mean it's...

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

Oh crap, looks like I missed it afterall. LOL. Yeah, the 'inflammation' from IBD that I was referring to is what I'm trying to accomplish. Getting it down to a manageable level. :) I get a decent feeling from this company, but they've put out products before that are either ineffective or has...

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

There are a few ingredients in these chews which bother me (particularly the maltodextrin, as that is proven to not only spike blood sugar but also promote biofilm growth for pathogens)....but the anti-inflammatory ingredients look promising! Anyone even just use anything listed within these...

    Sneezing after vaccinations?

Sounds like an increase in histamine. That would preclude a more serious reaction. The Benadryl recommendation is one to look into. I'm not sure what product version of Benadryl (or dose) to use...as in tablet, liquigel, pediatric, or some other version....to use is for a cat; ask your vet...

Anyone happen to ever use 'Feline Senior Vitality Pro' for their cat? IBD kitty needs help :)

Hi! So my cat has several health issues; she is 16. My baby!! :D One of them is inflammation (IBD)....and this product came up in my search for anti-inflammatory products. It isn't sold on Chewy. It isn't sold on Amazon. You can get it through your vet....but that poses a problem. It means...

    Post Your Recipes! (with Pics!)

Thank you so much! Have you had any "tolerance" issues to your recipes after adding the chelated manganese from Bluebonnet? Vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, food avoidance, etc....?

Also, does anyone here ever add vitamin K1, K2, or K7 to their homemade cat food recipes? If so, which brand do you choose, and why? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice! ❤

    Post Your Recipes! (with Pics!)

So I have been using Pet Diet Designer to make AAFCO and NRC-compliant homemade cat food. It's great! Unfortunately my recipes seem to be coming up short on a few things. Manganese is one of them. So.....when looking on Amazon, iHerb, Vitacost, Lucky Vitamin....all those places, I have found...

    Manganese requirement?

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but this thread comes up pretty early in search results (DuckDuckGo, Google); hopefully my resurrection of it will help someone else who searches on this issue in the future. That being said.... :) here's my question. What 'form' of manganese is ideal for...

Dgl (deglycyrrhizinated Licorice) - Safe For Cats?

Thank you both for your replies....for some godawful reason, I never realized there were replies to this! Then, upon searching the 'net tonight, and punching in keywords, I came across this post in search results. I saw what was typed out when I originally posted this-- but didn't realize it...

Dgl (deglycyrrhizinated Licorice) - Safe For Cats?

Hi everyone! So my cat has IBD, which means when one end is "okay" the other end typically is, well, not. See, the pooper end is okay now, constipation is resolving. But that means digestive juices are back to a normal level, and the already vulnerable stomach lining (vulnerable to ulceration)...

    Thiamine Mononitrate: Synthetic B1

Hi! SO Thiamine Mononitrate.....I'm reading articles that say it's actually fat-soluble. A synthetic, fat-soluble form of a water-soluble vitamin. Can anyone give me a reputable source that confirms it is actually fat-soluble instead of water-soluble? Note: these same places also say...
