I read a piece of advice about a year ago and it has saved me so much time: Keep the level of litter at least 4 inches deep. If you do this, and are using a good clumping litter, the waste will all clump before reaching the bottom of the box. This means the box stays cleaner for a much longer...
My Tuffy is black and I have been told he probably has some Bombay in him. He is a mixed shorthair and the only time I see cat hair is when I brush him. So thankful! He appeared on our doorstep at about 6 weeks old and soon became the center of our lives!
Feebysowner sounds like she has a replica of my screened porch. Squirrels, birds, etc. My cat Tuff spends many happy hours there when he is not in the house. NEVER allowed outside to roam. I highly recommend this.
Some Fancy Feast is now being made in France. My son got an order of this and his cat has had diarrhea and vomiting. My cat is still eating FF with no problems, but all of my cans say made in St Louis, Mo. Anyone else notice this?
My cat Tuff is black also with no dandruff. He gets 2 wet meals a day with a few tsp water added. Dry snack before bed. Maybe you could cut back on the dry and give more wet. Are you feeding half wet, half dry?
My cat Tuffy is now 4 years old and has eaten FF classic pate his whole life. His black coat is shiny and beautiful. No vet visits except for yearly checkups and required shots. That being said, I think FF is a good choice.
I have very little shedding from Tuffy and his diet is Fancy Feast wet. My son had a really bad shedding problem with his cat, who was on a dry diet. He switched to Fancy Feast Classic pate wet and shedding decreased a lot.
I put enough water in Tuff's FF can to rinse it out ( about a tbs) and then put it on top of the food. He loves licking the water on the shower floor. Does anyone else's cat do this?
