    Freya isn't eating

These are all good signs from her tests. Maybe some sub-q fluids will help with the possible dehydration--especially if she isn't eating--and get her feeling better enough to want to eat again. A B12 injection could also help perk her up a bit. Good luck and I hope Freya eats soon!

    Freya isn't eating

@Antonio65 Do Freya's blood tests show any signs of infection? If it is the inflammation that has been noticed, I wonder if a short course of prednisolone or Onsior/Metacam could help her feel better? A short course in an otherwise healthy young cat wouldn't be dangerous. Is Freya getting any...

Won't Eat and constipated, weepy eyes, two vet trips so far. HELP!

Also, the Doppler is the most reliable machine for cat blood pressure, just in case you're wondering (that's what the hospitals would use, esp during surgery and anesthesia). There are other types of machines more like what humans use, but for cats they are less reliable. Since cats have the...

Won't Eat and constipated, weepy eyes, two vet trips so far. HELP!

Your kitty is such a cool customer! And clearly very loved. Your kitty may need a second enema. My cat, due to anesthesia and opioid pain meds for a surgery, was massively constipated like your kitty (seen on x-rays at ER) and the first enema didn't work. She ended up hospitalized overnight at...

Diamond burr debridement for a non-healing corneal ulcer?

@Jcatbird thank you so much for your kind words. Mumu is doing well, and she had a fantastic day just two days ago that was like her old self, before her blindness, returning. I had missed my baby girl and her personality so much, and it is such a gift to have that day. The other day I got the...

Diamond burr debridement for a non-healing corneal ulcer?

@fionasmom the ultrasound showed enlarged lymph nodes throughout her abdomen, but no mass. The cytology showed intermediate to large cell lymphoma, and we are doing the flow cytometry test to type it. Because Mumu is having good quality of life right now, and each vet visit now as a blind kitty...

Diamond burr debridement for a non-healing corneal ulcer?

@neely thanks for asking for an update about Mumu. She had a long day this week with an Ophthalmology recheck and then an Internal Medicine work up. Her sequestrums are stable and her corneas have not changed for the better or worse. Right now, we are managing with supportive therapy to keep her...

Eye enucleation (socket closed) post-op swelling

Zuko and his dog friend are so sweet! I am glad the eye socket isn't bothering Zuko even if it's alarming to humans! I hope this eye socket heals up soon. Zuko is still super cute!

    Cat vomiting after pooping

That's a very positive development for the pilling and a diagnosis! Now that he's got the IBD diagnosis I hope the treatment plan and any diet changes work to help your kitty get back to normal!

    Cat vomiting after pooping

Hi @Serenityinaz12 I'm sorry the vet seems to be disengaged from the diagnosis process. There isn't by any chance a different vet or a referral service near you that you could take your cat too, is there? I know those aren't always options now especially since many places aren't accepting new...

    Cat vomiting after pooping

Did your cat have any subcutaneous fluids given at the vet office the first time with the vomiting, which may have helped the stools move? Diarrhea is actually a symptom of constipation, because impacted stools are only letting liquid poop pass through. Was there an x-ray taken of the colon? It...

Cat rubbing/squinting eye repeatedly - FHV?

@Persona9 I am sorry your vet ophthalmologist doesn't seem to care as much about your kitty's condition as she should. If there is no ulcer, there isn't anything to get infected. He can have the collar off, and if you see green or yellow discharge and constantly holding his eye shut, that's your...

    Knew This Day Was Coming

@furmonster mom , I am sorry Loki had to go, always too early, but not a moment too soon for his little body. You gave him the best crossing over the 🌈 possible, with so much love. This handsome boy will always be with you and your family.

Cat rubbing/squinting eye repeatedly - FHV?

You may want to ask your ophthalmologists if your kitty needs to wear a collar or not, especially if there isn't a corneal ulcer present and it is likely an unidentified irritation. If the eye doesn't have an injury or disease, then wearing the collar might not actually be protecting against...

Cat strains so hard she pukes

It sounds like your kitty is chronically dehydrated and that not enough water is getting into her colon to move the stools out. When she's been to the vet for these issues, did they give her subcutaneous fluids? That usually helps the kitties a lot. Does your cat have any conditions that kidney...

Going on Vacation - What Would You Do?

I boarded my cat on all my trips (brought her bed, a shirt I would sleep in for two weeks straight) and her food. She did well when she could be in an enclosure where the other cats aren't visible. When other cats were visible (even when she had a cat cave from home), she got stressed out. Same...

Horner’s syndrome in 11 year old cat

Sorry to hear Shyla is not happy with taking pills. My cat was like that for a long time but I recently was able to more or less get her pilled with less drama. Are the pills small enough to put inside a gel cap? If you can fit the pill or even multiple pills inside a size 3 or size 4 gel cap...

    Casey's Passing

I am sending you much love, @CaseysMom . You showed Casey so much love in 2 years that many cats never receive their whole lives. You did your best for her with the vet that you had, and you must remember that when it was the most important, when Casey needed it the most, you found her a truly...
