Thanks so much for this. Did you cat seem sensitive/have an upset stomach when you first started giving them to her? How long did it take for you to notice an improvement?
Hi there,
My cat has always had a sensitive stomach/problems with shaking her ears, which has been traced to food allergies. I switched her over to a chicken-free/grain free diet, and since putting her on Koha's single meat wet food 3 months ago, stomach noises/loose BM's haven't been an...
Hi,
When we first adopted out 2.5 year old cat from a shelter in June, the vet checked her over before we brought her home. I had asked them to double check her ears for mites as I noticed she was shaking her head a bit. They assured me that her ears were fine--just a little waxy, but no mites...
As I have suspected that our cat has food allergies, I have recently switched her over to a grain free dry food by PC called Nutrition First (in Canada), which contains no by-products/chicken or poultry. The ingredient list seems very clean, and this is a much more affordable option for us...
Yes--s. It did really help our last cat initially control an allergic immune response, but I am always weary of steroids. The vet said it would be okay to stop the steroid, and she seemed to return to normal within 24 hours!
Hi, thanks for your reply. The vet told me it would be okay to stop taking the pills all together, and within a day she was totally back to normal! Not sure what it was with the steroids.

Hi everyone,
I took my cat to the vet a few days ago only to find out she has both and inner and outter ear infection in both ears. The vet prescribed an oral liquid antibiotic for 5 days, as well as prednisolone for three weeks (starting at 1/2 pill twice a day and eventually weaning down to...
I have adopted a three year old tortie from the local shelter. When I first met her, she seemed reserved and very timid--afraid of loud noises and sudden movements. I did not see her meow even once during the four times that I went to visit her before making the decision.
Now, what I have...
Thank you for that beautiful link and your kind words. I am very lucky to have found this vet and could not have gone through it without her. I think the compassion I received at the vet office really made all of the difference. Thank you. :hugs:
I am so sorry that you lost your girl. It was watching the decline of her health that hurt so much. I am so glad that you got to spend some time together after having an initial diagnosis though, even though that must have been very hard to watch. I am sure she is watching over you now, and...
