    Concerned Mom - Vaccine reaction/infection??

I may do that from now on, I feel so sorry for him. I just called the emerg vet and they said they checked his paws and didn't seem concerned and he didn't have a fever as well. The impression I'm getting is its a bad reaction so may just monitor for today and if no change by tomorrow, I'll...

    Concerned Mom - Vaccine reaction/infection??

My poor boy has not had a good week. So Wednesday I noticed he was licking/biting at one of his paws and saw his main pad was swollen/has a small cut. (Background, he does have a skin/auto immune issue where during flare ups causes pad cracking, scabs on ears, rodent ulcers). I also noticed...

    Bladder Inflammtion, Food related?

Hmmm now that I think about it, could be the stress from him getting the medication because that is when he gets the diarrhea. The first round was Metacam, Pravasin and Bunorphine. Second time was just Prava and Buno as he had the diarreha and threw up once so the vet didn't want to risk him...

    Bladder Inflammtion, Food related?

I'm going to talk to his vet on Monday and see what she say but I am sure they won't have a problem with it.

    Bladder Inflammtion, Food related?

I wasn't sure exactly where to post this I can move if needed. So my almost 6 year old has been having bladder inflammation issues for about a month. He's been to the vet already twice and is currently on medication for the third time. His vet is also speculating he may have collitus as well...

Thanks for answering! I was planning on calling his vet just to be safe. Was just a little curious if I was being overly anxious or not. My poor boy :(

    Concerned about peeing habits... Again

Last week I was concerned my cat Mickey may be on the path to possibly blocking again so took him to the vet; he's almost 6 and blocked 2 years ago. They gave him an ultrasound and found some debris, mucus and so they performed a urinalysis. She said his red blood count was high but no crystals...

    Kitten Jumping On TV Cabinet

Thank you for the ideas! She's actually not going after the wires. She ends up sitting behind the tv or occasionally gets under the cabinet. Kitten phase is something I tell you.

    Kitten Jumping On TV Cabinet

My sic month old kitten is driving me crazy! I attached a picture of my tv cabinet which she is constantly jumping onto and going out the back. I have tried putting cardboard on the sides to block her but she decided to start jumping over the TV. I have tried to deterring her by spraying with...

    Kitten Tilting One Ear

I have a new 9 week old kitten who has started tilting her one ear. It just started a little while ago tonight and I was a little concerned. The vet has already checked her ears for mites last week. While it's kinda cute with the one tilted ear, am I being silly?

    Blocked Again!!!!

After my guy blocked, I made sure there were plenty of water dishes and a fountain around the apartment. Away from his food area of course. Like others said here, add some water to his wet food (weird I know). He took some time getting used to his water fountain, I took away all the added pieces...

    Bump On Cat's Lower Lip

Oh thanks! I was thinking along the lines of the c word! He's on a urinary diet and only drinks water from the his fountain. Which clicked it's plastic so it could be that. Answers come tomorrow

    Bump On Cat's Lower Lip

I noticed this bump on his lip a few days ago and it was a lot smaller. He is still eating, drinking normally. I have a vet visit tomorrow but I just want any possible ideas.

    6 Months Post Unblocking/pemphigus

My cat was unblocked in September and it's coming up to 6 months. I'm in mega panic mode because I know this is when it could happen again. He's been on Royal Canin Urinary since the unblocking. He hasn't been eating as much as usual. Side note, he just finished a bout of steroids as he has...

    Urinary Diet.

Ahhh makes a lot of sense. We were so confused because he had never been this ravenous before. I looked at RC's feeding guide so now I feel like a horrible mommy. Going to for sure talk to our vet about his diet. Don't want him gaining too much weight (He's around 13 pounds). When he was on FF...

    Urinary Diet.

He gets half in the morning and the other half in the evening. Which (we think) equals out to his old diet of a fancy feast can. Just minus dry food but like I said earlier. Going to call my vet and possibly put him on the dry as well. So he has something to nibble on between cans

    Urinary Diet.

Thanks!! I'll give my vet a call. He is anything but a grazer lol. The food is put out (half a can) and will be gone within an hour or two. Then it's the "feed me mommy I'm so hungry" act until his next feeding.

    Urinary Diet.

My poor baby had a blockage about a month and a half ago. All cleared up now. He's on Royal Canin SO wet food but, he always seems to be hungry. Obviously I'd get the SO dry food but still worry that it would lead to another blockage (I'm a nervous cat mommy okay!). I've read on many sites...

    Insurance Help

I'm glad your guy is doing well! I hope and pray the same for Mickey. We only have him eating the wet. The vet mentioned "CD" as well but for now, he seems to like this brand. Any tips on getting him to drink more water? We have several bowls out but he's being stubborn. I get a mini heart...
