You wouldn't know this little squishy face could be so problematic 😏

That does sound logical. There was no sediment in either urine sample so I guess that's why we're branching out to other tests. I guess he reckons that there may be a stone or few stones that aren't picked up in the sample I'm going to sit down with a glass of wine and try and calm myself...

    Someone reassure me....

It's just my anxiety. I was so blindsided when I found out Tesla had a terminal heart condition that I massively over react everytime the cats go to the vet. I know I do it but I can't seem to stop it so thanks for your kind words 😊. @FeebysOwner - the original urinalysis showed no crystals...

    Someone reassure me....

Stones aren't, but my worry is that the ecoli or maybe stones are a symptom of something else going wrong somewhere else like her kidneys. Ecoli doesn't seem to be fatal if treated but my mind is racing and I just can't stop it 😢

    Someone reassure me....

My baby girl, Hedy, was taken to the vets in early December with frequent urination + blood in urine. Urine sample was done, e.coli found and she ended up on a four week course of antibiotics. Urine culture said the e-coli was sensitive to the antibiotics presecribed. Symptoms went away...

    E.Coli UTI diagnosed

Thanks @FeebysOwner! It's good to hear three isn't always underlying issues, that makes me feel a bit better. We've had a bit of a tumultuous 4 months and the vet suggests stress may have triggered it. She dies sometimes have a dirty bottom. - maybe I also need to get on booty duty! That will...

    E.Coli UTI diagnosed

Last week my cat went to use the pan, cried out and I noticed blood in her urine. Took her to the vets who took a urine sample and put her on antibiotics and an anti inflammatory. The results of the culture came back today and she has e.coli in her urine. Its sensitive to the antibiotics she's...

Cat May Have Hurt His Leg But I'm Going Away

Well, things are looking a bit better this morning. I haven't seen him clean his leg this morning so whatever it was appears to have eased. The cat sitters are due to arrive any minute. I'll ask them to keep an eye on any cleaning - unlike Hedy he will come out and say hello. Thanks @white...

Cat May Have Hurt His Leg But I'm Going Away

They are "professional" cat sitters. I've never met them before but they basically spend their lives looking after other people's cats/dogs. I needed to find someone who could be around for them most of the time and there is no way I was taking them to a cattery. I'm sure they would take him...

Cat May Have Hurt His Leg But I'm Going Away

Hi all, Wondering how best to approach my latest issue with my dear cats! My boy (nearly 5, neutered, indoor only) is cleaning his back leg more insistently than normal. He's not limping, I can't see any injuries or swelling, it's not hot/warm to the touch and he's not crying or running away...

We're Going To The Vet, Wish Us Luck!

I realise it may not work for all cats but I read somewhere that cats are better at gauging how much wet food they eat and are more prone to weight gain with dry. My boy got up over 6kg when his playmate sadly passed away and he stopped exercising plus we gave him too much food as we decided...

    Fever From An Intestinal Obstruction?

She was fine! As I suspected she wasn't eating or pooping at the vets because she was scared. Came home had a massive (firm) poop and ate a whole pouch of food then settled on my lap for cuddles. She fell out with our other cat for a few days but they are now good friends again. I think they...

    Fever From An Intestinal Obstruction?

X-rays done and no obstruction:yess: She's not eating at the vets and is also refusing to poop - but the vet reckons this is because she is not feeling safe. This is entirely expected behaviour for her personality so she is coming home and I'll be monitoring the litter pan/food bowls. If she...

    Fever From An Intestinal Obstruction?

Well, now my other cat has vomiting and diarrhea so fairly unliky it's a contagious obstruction!

    Fever From An Intestinal Obstruction?

She had diarrhea up to 12 hours after the packet incident. I don't know what's going on now with her as she's staying in at the vets.
