Khaleesi is now much better. I am only going to give her the lactulose once every few days since she is going to the litter box regularly. Seems that what was obstructing her intestines was hair. Lots of it.
She prefers wet food at the moment but that’s fine, I’m just happy her appetite is up...
You have gorgeous kitties! :D
I am so sorry to hear about Ghost... I lost a cat to FIP last spring. It's just heartbreaking. :( :angel3:
Welcome to you, Moogle and Penny. :alright:
He is so adorable! He does look like a Maine Coon, with the face and ears...
I will never understand how people can abandon animals, just like that. I am not a judgemental person but I do judge those. Congrats on rescuing your cutie!
Hello,
no, nothing of the sort. She started wheezing about a week ago, coughed up a hairball and two small plastic elastics, and now she's being treated for something obstructing her intestines. Her heart and lungs were ok when checked by the vet. She doesn't even make those sounds when I pick...
That's what I thought too, until the wheezing earlier when I went to give her the lactulose. She eats, not that much but again, she's never had a big appetite (she has a healthy weight, vet checked on Monday).
I am brushing her and everything she could get was picked up. The thing is that she...

There are no silly question when it come to litter boxes! At the moment we have 5, for 4 cats. They spend a lot of time in the closed porch during summer so we have two smaller ones there, and they use them a lot. The one they use most is the big one near the steps, maybe because there's more...
Hello all,
I've been perusing these forums a couple of times over the last few months, but I never took the time to create an account.
my cat Khaleesi, over the last couple of days, started making those wheezing sounds. She's never had hair balls before but she coughed up one on Saturday...
If you can afford it, then I'd do the ultrasound... your cat's demeanor, calm and alert, not in pain warrants another shot at finding whatever's wrong with her. She has lots of fight left in her. I agree with babiesmom5, if there are options available, then maybe you should consider them before...
