At that age they should be eating 2-3 cans of wet kitten food (assuming you have the 3 ounce size) because they need a lot of protein and calories. Some people on TCS say, "You can't overfeed a kitten." That is true until they reach full size.
You need to know who is throwing up and how often a...
Wow Esther, that is pathetic. I thought because so many animal shelters prefer to spay and neuter kittens less than 4 months old more cat lovers understood that's actually a. great idea.
I agree with Abby. We will continue to worry about Walter long after this thread is closed and always want more updates.
Hopefully all the good things stay put for a long time!
Thank you Eshter! We need something like this to help you and many vets spread the word that 4 months is not too early to get kittens spayed and neutered.
Welcome to TCS. Thank you for posting. What isy our cat's name?
The first thing to know about a cat's diet is they are obligate carnivores. No cat can survive without eating meat. This is why they have knife-like teeth, especially the four long canines, and no flat-edged incisors. So you will...
Sorry Abby, I was thinking too far ahead. Short-term prescriptions are OK if there are no problems caused by the low quailty ingredients. If possible, I would want a cat withouot urinary problems to keep eating regular food.
I did not know about whip worm. The most dangerous one is heartworm, which a mosquito can carry inside. For this, you would need to put Revolution on your cat.
My previous cat had one of those too. It only grew to the shape and size of a pea. The only vet who said anything about it was my current one. He said because she had it so long (over 10 years) it can't be cancer, which would cause problems in 3 years.
These are very good questions and I am glad you asked.
1. Prescription diets can be purchased online if you provide the vet's contact info - practice name and phont number, vet's name, etc. At least that is how Chewy did it when I ordered Hill's k/d for a previous cat. The purpose of this is to...
Thanks for the update. Youi obviously made the right decision to stop medications because she is doing fine and not throwing up.
There is only one thing that concerns me now: cooking raw meat. They call it raw for a reason - that is how cats should eat it. Ovens are nutrient death beds.
