Hello. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I went through a whole lot with my precious Moe. He passed away a year ago. Only recently was I okay enough to get a new kitty. I’m not sure I can help but I can try. Pls let me know.
I don't know about Rawz, but my cat won't eat Tiki Cat. He likes pate, and nothing else. Its been a while, but I seem to remember Tiki not being the mushy pate that my cat loves. Do you know of anything that can be added to cat food to add fiber, aside from things like metamucil?
Has anyone had any experience with Natural Instinct wet food and constipation. Moe has been taking laxatone for a long time for his IBD, but I've had to double it lately, and that sometimes isn't enough. The natural instincts is newer to his diet, so I'm wondering if there is a possible...
Great suggestions here. I didn't even know about the fingertip 'glove' to use for this. I'm going to try it, and use the suggestions of the glove and distraction with treats. Thank you all for these great suggestions!
Moe is incredibly finicky. He only likes one kind of treat believe it or not. He is fussy fussy, so if anything I feed him is slightly off, he will starve before eating it. Ugh. The pet sitter feels she will have no problem with the transdermal. I'm going away for 19 days....so I wouldn't...
This is exactly what I was thinking about getting for my cat!! But I can actually get it in town. My cat has an oncology doc, and she sells them in her office :)
He is incredibly hard to give meds to. So far I have been having the pred made into a liquid to squirt down his throat. Its getting more and more difficult to do. I have tried putting in food (it is either chicken or fish flavored) and he won't touch it. I'm going on a long trip, and having...
Does anyone have any experience using the transdermal pen to administer prednisolone? My cat has IBD and needs this med. I have been having the pred compounded to a liquid to administer, but my cat is getting more and more sensitive about this. The pen would be easier on him, but I am...
I found out afterwards it has a certain chemical that can be bad for cats. I used it on Moe and he had the seizure. I thought it was because he’s I’ll to begin with, so when I got another cat from a rescue I used it on her. The rescue said it should be fine. When I came home from work the cat...
Do you think that the toxic effects of flea meds clears from the body - eventually? I have been trying to find out online, but can't seem to find an answer to that question. The vet has me using homeopathic drops called Liver Support which is supposed to clean out the liver. Idk if it is...
Its hard...The vet has no idea why this is happening. The only thing I can think of is a possible reaction to flea meds....or he may have developed a brain tumor or something like that. I don't want to put him through scans to find out - he is just not well enough. He does shake his head...
Hello fellow cat lovers. So my Moe is 8 years old, and dx'd with IBD that could lead into cancer (vet has him on cancer med too). Moe also has a pinched gall bladder - something that he was likely born with. So I have caught Moe seizing twice now - once quite a while ago after giving him the...
Yes. You both make sense. I was thinking if it were an inner ear infection then the scope would be needed...But maybe not if inner ear infections have discharge or other visible stuff.....
