Not sure if mine are picky, but he wasn't excited about the different brands at first. Think we may have been giving him a bit too much of the new food. Pretty sure we are swapping the Merrick out for more of the Nulo when we get by Pet Smart.
Thank goodness we found a seller through Amazon &...
I'm also a Chewy auto ship customer, but the Natural Balance canned food for one of my kitties has been out of stock recently. I was able to postpone the shipment until it came in last month, but feel I got lucky.
We're trying to get him use to different brands, but have to mix just a little...
Thanks for the information. Kitty is healthy & eating as normal. Specialists are not nearby & kitty does not ride well. We will see if additional care from a specialist is recommended after cleaning.
daftcat75 Sorry Krista has had such a difficult time. Glad you were able to get her the care...
Thanks for the replies. My guy is 9 1/2 & this will be his first cleaning. We were told to expect some dental issues (stomatisis). The 8 yo had a cleaning several years ago. No extractions & DH can brush his teeth. So, his teeth & gums look better than his "brother". 9 1/2 yo freaks when we try...
I found your thread researching. One of my cats needs a dental & pretty sure one extraction. It will be January before we can schedule. Our vet is booked pretty much through the holidays.
Anyway, I wasn't sure how to find your post updating how your cat's procedure went. Appreciate any advise...
Wow, this has been quite an ordeal. You both have provided Fred, Bobby, Tommy & Oliver with amazing care. Hope you received good news after the re culture. Sending healing prayers for all your kitties especially Fred.
First off I have no experience with FIP. I do have a cat with a sensitive stomach, possible IBS/IBD. He would eat a certain food for months then all of a sudden diarrhea. Sometimes he refuses to eat more than just a spoonful of a different/new food at meal times until his stomach settles. This...
I could definitely see a child's book about Chotu adventure. Especially since he escaped from his carrier. I'm certain it was quite stressful at the time. However I think children would find his story very interesting. Your journey is definitely one that could help children understand empathy &...
I believe Chotu will adjust to his new home as long as you stay positive. Give him time to feel comfortable before introducing the dogs. As already mentioned watch how he reacts & work at a pace he is comfortable with.
Make his new world fun with a cat tree or wall shelves, toys & play time...

I also have the kitty alarm system in my home. The alerts will vary depending on which kitty is on duty.
Of course our dog has become the 1st level to our system recently. Took him about a year to discover his guard duty capabilities. "Oh, i suppose to bark when someone comes in our yard? Got...
I'd consider seeing a specialist if that's a possibility. I have no experience with disabled animals, but there are a lot of vidoes showing how these animals are thriving. Many have wheels that provide mobility & appear to do well. Think it would depend on the individual animal's overall health...
Well, Pumpkin has started itching again. He has scratched a bare spot between his shoulder blades. I did notice him scratched a little either last night right before bed or this morning. But he was fine when he was visiting with me last night. Likes to get petted after supper most nights. I've...
Wondering if you had the follow up appoinment?
Curious since my two guys (almost 8 & 9 yo) both have stomatitis type symptoms. Only the youngest had had a dental cleaning (think its been 3 1/2 years), no extractions. The oldest probability needs a cleans (redness along gum line upper back...
Sending positive thoughts & prayers for Tom's safe return. Perhaps he needed one more adventure before settling down with his new family. I can see him tell the other cats in his new home all about his previous life.
Also praying that drivers will help Heart, Cowboy (I'm still thinking of him...
I have NO experience with feral or semi feral cats. However, I also think if you leave the crate open & place a blanket or towel, treats & a toy inside this may encourage him to go in. I'd try playing with him around the crate (door open). Use a string toy to entice him near the crate, on top of...
Yeah sometimes its a good idea to get another opinion. We had to see the other vet this morning. Feels like I have to ask more questions as she doesn't really explain things. No discussion, just doing this & this to resolve skin issue. No options like would you prefer antibiotic meds or shot...
Update on Pumpkin after vet appointment. The scape on leg/hip area is a hot spot from possible insect bit or some other allergen. Eyebrow area also appears to be allergy related. Seasonal maybe. Not ear mites or fleas. He got 2 injections - Convenia (antibiotic) & a steriod. Expects improvment...
