Is This Normal Or Should I Call The Vet?

It’s 8 days old, she was spayed last Thursday. I’m gonna call the vet, but can I ask why you think so? I’m just not sure what I’m looking at! This is my first cat.

Is This Normal Or Should I Call The Vet?

I’m not sure when my kitty’s incision started looking like this, it’s not alarmingly scary (maybe because I just don’t know what to expect) , but I don’t know what it means. She’s still acting her usual self!

How Long Should Kitty Keep Her E Collar On? Day 3 Of Spay!

Wish mine wouldn’t bother hers :’0 she gets to licking not even 5 minutes after I take it off every now and then, so I have to stop her and pt the collar back on :’( My Mom ordered a soft e collar on her own for kitty though, hopefully it keeps her from reaching the incision!

    How’s This Spay Incision Look??

She was spayed Thursday, today is Day 5. So 9 more days until the stitches should dissolve, right? I never read about spay stitches needing to manually come out, I thought they all dissolved?

How Long Should Kitty Keep Her E Collar On? Day 3 Of Spay!

its been 3 days and it kind of weighs her down. Or at least I think so? She’s 8 months, 5 pounds. Not sure if her head hangs a bit low because she’s angry or it’s the collar itself. How long does it take stitches to dissolve? The whole two weeks?? Or when is it healed to the point licking and...

Newly Spayed. How Often Should She Be Relieving Herself?

She finally urinated in the box! It took a bit of struggle with her e collar, but she did it! She didnt go as much as I’d expect, but she went!

Newly Spayed. How Often Should She Be Relieving Herself?

Yeah, we’ve been in the living room all day and she’s been in eye view of me, laying in different spots/ positions every now and then but in the same vicinity. Her water, food, and litter have all been no more than about a foot away from her no matter where she’s moved to. Glad the incision...

Newly Spayed. How Often Should She Be Relieving Herself?

She’s walking around pretty okay now, albeit a little slow, but she has jumped onto the couch once (I put her back down because I was told not to let her on beds or the couch at the time of her returning home), so I dunno :( I have work training tomorrow morning until 1pm, but I’ll make a call...

Newly Spayed. How Often Should She Be Relieving Herself?

She hates me getting anywhere near it, so I had to sneak an I undershot while I fed her a bit of wet food.

Newly Spayed. How Often Should She Be Relieving Herself?

its been a day since my kitty has been spayed and I’ve only seen her urinate once (on the carpet - the same day she got fixed, and it was only a little). She hasn’t gone again since and day 2 is ending. Should I worry?

Comment by 'kittyemojis' in article 'Should You Add Coconut Oil To Your Cat's Food?'

I’m confused! It says cats don’t like coconut oil, but my best bud’s cat goes crazy for it. And I’m seeing plenty of comments about other cats loving it down here too! Hmmm :headscratch:

Spay Update: How Does It Look?

I got a bunch of calming replies last night (thanks a ton)! I gave her time to run around this morning about 6-8:00 before putting her back in her big box so I coule sleep 3 more hours (I wasn’t ready to wake up but I had to feed her and get her water, make sure she got time to use the litter...

First Cat. Spat Process Terrifying Me.

im afraid she’ll hurt herself trying to leap to places and such with the collar on, though. I can’t tell when it’s okay to let her out the box—I’m especially afraid to leave home with her roaming the place :’( that’s whats bugging me most at this point. Thanks for the input, looking forward to...

First Cat. Spat Process Terrifying Me.

Ahhh, thank you so much. That means a lot to me, I love her to bits. Absolutely can’t think of any harm coming to her! I was absolutely heartbroken seeing her unable to move and such right after she came home! I was so ready to nap because of my long excruciating day—but instead I’ve been on...

First Cat. Spat Process Terrifying Me.

Fine to my knowledge. No discharge, no redness. Is it safe to assume swelling would appear red too? Checked her incision again just to be up to date. Her skin is pale, so it’s safe to say everything looks good since an issue would be easy to spot on skin so light :) there appears to be a lumpy...

First Cat. Spat Process Terrifying Me.

This is my first kitty, I’ve had her since she was about a week. She’s 8 months now. haven’t been able to get her spayed because I was financially (and still am often times) financially unstable. Found a great place that does them for residence in my area free, so the time came today. Even...
