lol thank you-
that was the intent- to introduce him early so that he adapts well in new situations! I just wanted to make sure that any signs of happiness/content I was "seeing" were actually there and not just me making up logic to confirm my own bias lol I really don't want him to be...
Thanks! People think I'm crazy for traveling with him so frequently, but he doesn't mind it and seems to relax. It's nice to know other cats enjoy the car rides- now I don't feel like he's tolerating it just to be near me.
I read a lot before getting a cat and many caution against any changes...
here's a brief synopsis-
kitten comes with me to boyfriend's every weekend and has for 2.5 months, he loves the car ride, has his own safe place at boyfriend's and loves the boyfriend's resident cat. But, he and I are very, very close and though he adjusted well and now runs around both houses...
yes he is an extremely vocal kitty.. everything is super expressive. he's never silent- he meows when he's on his way to the litter box, trills while he's playing, whine-trills when he's bored, and purrs when i come near him.. it only makes sense for him to make noise when riled up. he's never...
Thanks! you're probably right.. i would not be surprised if i am reading too much into it.. but this is the only video i have. usually he bites him and bites at him. yesterday kyle bit his back to stop him from fighting off the grooming (the kitty needs it.. he smells lol). i think the kitten...
i don't have any videos of him fighting the snuggles but here's a video of him fighting grooming. I understand kitten's don't like being groomed but he looks so terrified.. not uncomfortable. i just want him to understand kyle isn't going to kill him lol

I think so! i'm just trying to get him to be all wide-eyed and fascinated when Kyle tries kissing him or cuddling him.
They are both neutered. I can't upload a video to this thread.. but I can upload them to my album in the gallery :) I am not worried about the fighting- I'm worried about why the kitten has learned to socialize with the cat in every other aspect but runs away when the cat tries to snuggle or...
I can't upload videos to the thread. The fighting is just play fighting
Thank you for your insight! I don't think the fighting is worrisome. I guess I was only trying to give a perspective of their relationship.. the kitty feels completely comfortable starting all the play fights and...
i've posted multiple times about the relationship between my 5 month old kitten, Pablo and my boyfriend's cat, Kyle.. but the kitten still does not trust Kyle.
Kyle is 1 and immediately took to Pablo. It is very sweet.
They play well together- my kitten is usually snuggling me 24/7 but when...
How surprising! I love hearing this- very reassuring. I am surprised at how dialed-in Kyle was. He's only 1 himself without any other cat interaction, so I was surprised at how quickly he sprang into action.
Thanks for sharing!

Aw thanks! I do like to share about the relationship between all of us because I feel like its especially unique and sweet. I mostly read about resident cats unhappy with new cats, so I thought I'd share!
I do look forward to Pablo growing because he is very defensive and on-edge and won't...
Has anyone had experience with their male resident cat taking in the new kitty as his own?
My boyfriend's cat, Kyle, is 1. He's very chill, quiet, and prefers his own space. Not especially affectionate, but will sleep next to my bf sometimes.
Pablo is a 5 month old rescue. Very affectionate...
She likely does, but due to her age and energy levels, she's likely distracted by the thought of play. Petting her at some angles may make you think you're initiating play time. Also, she may get bored of petting very quickly and want to be more active. Totally normal.
I have a kitten, too and...
I had the same questions!
My 5 month old kitten is the loudest during play time, it had me worried sick! Turns out, he's just verbalizing his struggle. Is your cat normally vocal? Mine is, so it made since that he'd be loud while he's exerting so much energy and force.
I wouldn't worry about it...
