    Corona Virus Now Spreading

It's been that way here for at least a month. I was lucky enough to find a deli chain here that will deliver and they had pretty much everything I needed. Try smaller convenience stores, delis, bodegas. They have been far better stocked than large supermarket chains.

    Corona Virus Now Spreading

I live in Suffolk County, NY (about an hour and a half from NYC) and we have 6,713 confirmed cases as of yesterday. My elderly mother lives with me and she's at chemotherapy right now for stage 4 ovarian cancer. I still have to go to work every other week and I am terrified I'm going to bring...

    Phosphorus In Instinct Canned Food?

You're right! Her Instinct LID values are off by quite a bit. Ugh, that was going to be one that I added. I'm not sure what number I want to stay under. Georgia is only 10 months old so I'm wondering if the lower phosphorous I feed her will delay CKD onset. I'm thinking of sticking below .8...

Primal Raw Phosphorous - Am I Reading The Website Values Correctly

Thanks so much for that link! And I'll take that into account regarding the FDA requirements. You would think that they would take into account that cats can handle a certain level of pathogens. It would make our lives (as well as the manufacturers) much easier. The whole system needs...

Primal Raw Phosphorous - Am I Reading The Website Values Correctly

Hi, I have a young kitty who has a high SDMA value so I want to be proactive and want to feed very low phosphorous foods. I'm also thinking of going fully/partially raw. First on my list was Rad Cat but now rethinking it because of the recall. I was looking at Primal as another option and...

Is Pet Insurance Worth It For My Kitten With A Pre-existing Condition

Thanks everyone. I'll just set aside a savings account just for my babies and hope for the best. I guess you really have to get pet insurance right after you adopt them (unless they have a known condition) and before they go to the vet.

Is Pet Insurance Worth It For My Kitten With A Pre-existing Condition

Thanks. I'm trying to do all of the above, but she won't drink any water. I don't know if it's because I add quite a bit of water to her cat food or not. I'm really hoping she doesn't have CKD. I literally can't think about it or I kind of lose it. She really is my number one baby. We're...

Is Pet Insurance Worth It For My Kitten With A Pre-existing Condition

Hi All, I've had cats my entire life but never had pet insurance. I have two 10 month olds that I'm now considering getting insurance for...just in case. I'm getting much more nervous and risk averse in my old age. One of my babies had an elevated ALP and SDMA as well as concentrated urine...

    Vomiting And Diarrhea

Hi! Thanks for that. Yes, they were both dewormed as kittens. Georgia was retested during they spay, but they couldn't get a sample from Ripley. The vet just called and asked me to bring them in tonight. She's going to give them a shot for the vomiting that she said could help with the bad...

    Vomiting And Diarrhea

Hi, I noticed on Friday night that Ripley was throwing up and had diarrhea. There wasn’t food in the throw up just hairballs and bile. I took her to the vet Saturday morning and the vet said she didn’t feel any obstructions and told me to feed her boiled chicken and sprinkle probiotics on top...

Pilling A Cat Zyrtec - New Contraption

Hi, No, shooting water into the back of the mouth has an increased chance of aspiration. I was suggesting just shooting the pill towards the back of her mouth and then close her mouth till she swallows (should be pretty quick) and don’t shoot any water at all.

Pilling A Cat Zyrtec - New Contraption

Can you just use your invention to shoot the pill to the very back of her mouth (they also sell pill poppers.)? For kittens I need to syringe feed, the rescue I work with told me to aim at the side of their mouths and never straight down because they can easily aspirate. I would assume the same...
