Have you tried slippery elm? My cat had metronizaole and it made his stool worst. I also tried probiotic Proviable. It firmed up for a day and back to soft. He’s also on Hills Digestive Care and NV LID rabbit and lamb. The only thing it help is slippery elm.
I got him last Oct from a shelter. I found some fleas on him and put him on Advantage. I checked his stool and didn’t see any tapeworm. But he started vomiting and having diarrhea around mid Nov. The vomit started once 2-3 days then got to twice a day. He was 8 pounds and was 5 pounds at the end...
Metronidazole was given to Jingles to stop his vomit and diarrhea. Out of the 9 days on metronidazole, he only had solid poop on the first 2 days.
He’s on Hills z/d and Natures Variety LID.
Is it possible that there’s still parasite? He was dewormed last May.....
hi everyone. This is my first cat so I don’t know what to do. He was on metronidazole for 9 days 2 weeks ago and his stool is getting from soft to liquid now. He vomited for the first time in 2 weeks, some clear liquid. Anybody have any ideas what this might be? Parasite? Worm?? Thanks!!
Thanks! I am adding some probiotics in his food. We will see what happens next. If this continues I will talk to the vet. Hopfully it will clear up soon.
