    Instinct Raw Boost...bummer :-(

I agree. It's so hard to get raw here. I see people who want raw buying the dried raw infused. Pet Supermarket advertises Nature's Instinct but the local store only carries the dog food. I thought about buying that and adding taurine but I don't know if that would do it.

IBD, vitamin malabsorption, and B-12 shots

I saw that your baby also has CKD. For CKD methylcobalamin may be safer than cynocobalamin. You can get it from Stokes compounding pharmacy in NJ with a Rx. 1000mcg per ml is a kitty dose.

My cat eats cooked beef and I give him Epakitin to help control phosphorus with his CKD. Just a thought. Do your research on it and see if you think it would help.

Is Butter Bad for Cats ?

That is a good observation. Don't write off butter if your cat is lactose intolerant because butter has little in it unlike milk. Fortunately my cat is not lactose intolerant. He has pancreatitis and while people and dogs need to limit fat cats are not affected by some fat in the diet.

my cat loves coconut butter, and also eat yogurt! Haw Haw.

I read that coconut oil is bad for cats. OK for dogs but cats aren't supposed to have it. I use Nordic Naturals Omega for Pets for Omega 3s

Question Of The Day, Sunday, July 30, 2017

Thank you for checking. I still haven't gotten a reply from the holistic vet. His office is closed today and many places are closing tomorrow and Friday as we prepare for possible hit by hurricane Irma.

Question Of The Day, Sunday, July 30, 2017

What curcumin is safe and effective for cats? My vet said tumeric might be good. I researched and found curcumin and also that there is a big problem of it not being very bio available. Further research and found pepperdine or tumeric essential oils are added to increase bioavailability. I...

Need HELP with pancreatitis. Probiotics help or hurt?

The vet said that enzymes would be good to help reduce the load on the pancreas. Where did you read that enzymes were not good for pancreatitis? He said that either Mercola pet enzymes or The Pet Health and Nutrition Center Digestive brand that I have would be good. Both have probiotics.  I...

Need HELP with pancreatitis. Probiotics help or hurt?

First my kitty has CKD. You will see that is you look at all my previous threads/posts. He was on the Renadyl (Azodyl in the human version) and I read that probiotics can kill you if you have acute pancreatitis. I asked the vet and he said he had never heard that but I read and although as I...

Looking for grain free cat food - comparing Wild Calling

I just have the one cat and no he wasn't tested for parasites. I am going to the Animal Hospital this morning to get more cyproheptadine to stimulate his appetite and I will ask about that testing. Do you know the name of the test? They use Anatech (I think that's how it is spelled) labs here.

Looking for grain free cat food - comparing Wild Calling

I saw your list of cat foods here that don't have carrageenan. I look for food that also doesn't have  ethoxyquin Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and to top it off, because of CKD low phosphorus! It's more than challenging. After finally settling on a couple of...
