Good News. I was cleaning her litter box at 7 this morning and I found a stool!
Coconut oil works! Though, appears to be somewhere between a Type 2 and Type 3 stool.
Hi. My newly adopted cat, Hera, has mild gingavitus. I want to brush her teeth, the problem is that...well trying to get her to accept it. She is a super shy cat normally and since we only had her for a few days, she would go hide if we approach to fast. What supplies should I use? How do I get...
Feeding Hera (the cat in the pic) Dry kibble in the morning and wet canned food in the night, both are Hill's Science Diet. I am planning to transition her from Hill's Science Diet to Organix' Chicken and Brown Rice than to Nature's Variety Instinct Raw. Hopefully, she will handle it.
It's Okay. I understand you are trying to cheer me up.
Good news is she ate the coconut oil when I mixed it with food (she inhales canned food like crazy).
Now I just hope to see cat poop in the cat litter.....wow, I never thought I would be happy to clean up shit in the litter box.:dunno...
Haven't manage to find canned pumpkin.
I personally don't feel the humor. Since it's only been a week since the previous cat died from a preventable cause (should have spayed her) and having complication this early is doing wonders for my anxiety. :sniffle:
So I went to the local B-Fresh and manage to find both Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Olive Oil. I also bought Laxatone (Tuna-flavored).
The results:
Hera has no interested in Laxatone.
Hera showed no interest in Olive Oil.
Hera showed no interest in Coconut Oil.
My only hope now is mixing...
So what brand of coconut oil are we talking about? Because the local pet store and groceries don't sell any and the internet retailers have literally hundreds of different coconut oils.
Yeah. It's gonna be a weekly thing.
Also, SUCCESS! Dad agreed to put her in his bedroom provided the litter box is placed in there too. It took over 30 minutes though since she was shy as heck, even catnip didn't work, but I was able to lure her in by opening a can of Nature's Variety.
We tried...except that she still leaves the door open carelessly. Our previous cat, Kitty, escape about four times because of this (we were lucky as hell, she had great homing instincts and came back within a day or two). It honestly feels like she doesn't care. I think it would best to keep her...
100% agree. But my dad vehemently doesn't want her on the bed...or my bed really. He thinks that letting the cat on the bed would risk getting infections from them.
So a housekeeper that my dad hired is coming that is gonna clean the apartment (she does this every Wednesday). She has always opened the back door to take out the garbage and always leave the door open (and some cases even the front door). My last cat, Kitty, escaped seven times in a row due to...
I give her a bowl of water, which I had replaced and refilled just yesterday. I also feed her 1/3rd cup of dry cat food, and 1/3rd canned cat food, both same brands that the Shelter used (Hill's Science Diet). Planning to have a post-adoption vet check-up this Saturday. Also, how do I feed her...
Hi. I adopted my Cat, Hera, last Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. She was placed in the local branch of Animal Rescue League on November 4th due to the previous owner having a failing health problem. I placed her in the kitchen, gave her a cardboard box with a blanket from her shelter (the guy...
