My Kitten Is In A Weird Situation...

The food could def be causing the diarrhea as well...If you do decide to do a diet change, try to do it gradually to avoid a worse upset gi system. But honestly deworming him is very high on the list for things to do. :)

My Kitten Is In A Weird Situation...

Yes definitely deworm him. It isn't going to hurt anything and would just error on the side of caution. Intestinal parasites can cause diarrhea and stinky abnormal stool. Even if it's just intermittent. Like mamanyt said clumping litter sticks well to bowel movements that are moist. It's doing...

Yes, then 3 weeks later boost it with another, and three weeks after that your kitten will be old enough for a 1yr rabies and 1 yr fvrcp

    Drool?

Cats can drool from happiness, but also from some sort of a dental related issue. If your kitty has known dental problems you should error on the side of caution and try to get him in for a oral exam. This will tell you if there is something going on in his mouth that could potentially be...

    Cat Won't Open His Eyes

Is there anyway you could post pictures of what your kitties eyes look like? I'd also definitely advise trying to find somewhere else to take him.

Can Kittens Receive Fvcrp At 7 Weeks Old?

However honestly I work in a hospital so most people do not bring them in that early, and if they do it's because they are sick and vaccines aren't an option since their immune system is already compromised...by the time they are brought back for a check up they are already past 12 weeks of age...

Can Kittens Receive Fvcrp At 7 Weeks Old?

Usually at my work if a kitten comes in at a young enough age we will give a rcp vax at 6 weeks, another booster at 9 weeks, then at 12 weeks we give a rcp and a rabies vax that counts as a 1 year. After one year then they come back and we booster both vaccinations with 3 year vaccines.

    Throwing Up

I asked if the vomit is just undigested food because a lot of cats will snarf their food down then their tummy gets upset from eating so fast and they vomit it right back up. We call it - snarf and barf lol... If this seems to be the case there are a few things you can do to slow his eating...

    Small Aural Hematoma

That certainly could be. I'm just so surprised they say it may not work! I've never ever seen our method for correcting it not work...it does look pretty little in your pictures though. My kitties was a bit smaller than that. I do hope you can get it to heal on its own. You sound pretty savvy...

    Small Aural Hematoma

They can heal on their own, but do leave scaring. They can take several weeks to months to heal depending on the severity. Once healed the blood will reabsorb and the ear will crinkle up some in that area from the scar tissue. Usually they develope due to an underlying issue like earmites or an...

A Little White Growth On My Cat's Skin? (photo)

That does appear and present itself just like a skin tag. We call those old man warts. Lol. But to error on the side of caution it is never a bad idea to get a professional opinion on it. Or if you don't want to take your kitty in at the very least watch it closely and if it changes in...

    Kidney Issues?

Blood work is definitely in order. This will tell you if any values are compromised by potential disease processes. Make sure that a CBC, chemistry, and t-4 are performed just to error on the side of caution.

    What's Wrong With Kiki's Foot

If a kitty has had a botched declaw and shards of bone are left behind then yes later down the line they can have discomfort causing them to walk unnaturally or act in pain. But this just doesn't strike me as that...I posted a picture of my kitty's paw for comparison. He's currently having a...

    Broken Leg

I agree with mrsgreenjeens....I took a kitty under my wing awhile back that had a shattered leg and was in a cast for weeks on end. We bought a huge black wire pop up kennel with two doors to keep her in while we weren't around to supervise her. We also had bowls for her food and water that...

    What's Wrong With Kiki's Foot

There is also a condition called eosinophilic granuloma complex which can potentially cause symptoms like this. My own kitty has it and his paws flair up just like that. It is definitely advised that you take your kitty in and have it looked at by a vet. They should be able to diagnose and treat...

    Cat With Urinary Crystals

Omgosh I can't stress enough at how many cats we see have urinary issues while eating grain free foods. People think they are the best option and they've become quit the craze but I can't stress enough for you to ask your vet before deciding to transition to grain free... PLEASE. The first thing...
