Yes she's spayed. Shes 6 years old and we've only had her about 5 months. She's never peed outside her box before and I feel so bad she didn't have access to it!
What besides urine do they use kids and pets for?
Great, thanks! There seems to be a few different kinds, but one is labeled...
My cat got accidentally locked in my son's room overnight (he crawled into bed with us, shutting his door after him and she had been asleep in his room).
I didn't figure out she was in there till 9am when I realized she hadn't come downstairs to meow for food.
She peed on the area rug in 2...
Don't feel bad about feeding some kibble. I feed half dry for budget reasons too. We all just to the best we can!
I'm lucky that my cat doesn't have any health issues so I can supplement with some cheap wet foods.
You can always transition back to all wet later when things aren't as tight.
That's gonna be a tight budget for 2 cats.
I think the best thing to do would be watch for sales and buy in bulk if possible.
Is salmon oil Okay? Natural Balance LID venison is on sale on chewy right now for a pretty good price. It has salmon oil though.
She gets about 3 oz of wet for dinner. Splitting it up is a good idea.
Maybe for breakfast doing 1 1/2 oz wet and leaving out half of her daily dry with that, then doing the same for dinner so she has some dry to snack on at night?
I think I'll try to start doing that and if she still...
I honestly can't afford an all wet diet. It would at least double the food cost.
I give her 1/4 cup dry food that she normally will (not on an extra hungry day) eat about half of and nibble on it the rest of the day. Then at dinner time she gets wet food.
This normally works just fine...
If you have a cat who normally seems content with her given amount of food, but some times seems extra hungry, do you give her extra food on those days?
Taking into account that this cat is not over weight and in good health. I normally give her about 180-200 calories a day (half wet half...
Right now I only have 2
Merrick Perfect Bistro Duck Pate
Fromm Chicken and Salmon Pate
I'm working on adding a couple more. I'd like to find a turkey one she likes, and then something on the cheaper end make it more budget friendly. The next ones we are trying are Wellness Core Turkey, and...
I have tried at least 20 types of food with my picky cat and I know it's super frustrating!
The Fromm wet food is pretty soft, it's one of the few my cat likes (The and chicken and salmon flavor, I know a lot of people avoid fish). She also loves the Merrick Duck pate and it's certainly her...
I started browsing around online getting ideas on options. I think I might start with the Pure Bites chicken, it says each treat is about 3 calories so if I count out 5 treats and mix it into her food in the morning I think that would be a good amount.
She doesn't get many treats, cause she...
Thanks! The kibble isn't her entire diet, so I was thinking a tablespoon would be close to 10% if I'm including her wet food, but I would need to do the math to be sure.
It would be 10% calorie wise that it need to be under?
I'll just find a complete balanced one to be safe. I'll look...
We tried the chicken and the rabbit and they were both the same hardness. I tried dehydrating the rabbit after seeing it mentioned here and it didn't work well lol.
We also had a sample of the 'VE chicken that was a powder to use as a food topper. My cat hated it though and wouldn't eat...
Does she just lick the gravy? I don't give my cat the gravy ones cause if I do she just licks them and doesn't eat the chunks. She will eat all of it if it's pate though (and a flavor she likes of course).
A lot of the weruva ones have a lot of gravy. Their website has pictures of some of...
Awesome! Do you have a recommendation on a just meat one that would be easy to add? I've tried vital essentials treats and they were way to hard.
I think I might try mixing a tablespoon of freeze dried in with her normal 1/4 cup of dry Fromm.
I saw an advertisement for a dry food that had pieces of freeze dried raw mixed in with kivble, I think it was by Instinct? It made me wonder if anyone mixes a freeze dry raw food into their regular dry food? Are freeze dry raw complete nutrition?
I'm wondering if this is a good way to up...
The probiotics are a great idea, I hope they feel better soon.
Is it the Funk in the Trunk one you're feeding them? I tried to get my cat to eat that flavor and she wouldn't eat it lol. Fussy kitty.
If it is that flavor make sure you're feeding them enough cause it's pretty low calorie, I...
I think most bags list both cal/oz and cal/cup.
Cups are a volume measurement so it's much simpler with kibble than with wet food.
EDIT: Never mind, my kibble lists cal/kg cal/lbs cal/cup
