I'm in the same boat as you. It's been 8 months and I still cry a lot. She had cancer but she was still doing well, until she wasn't. It bugs me so much that I couldn't even enjoy her for the last two weeks of her life because she was declining and I was so upset. *hugs* to you.
Please keep posting, this thread is like a soap opera :)
I volunteer at my local shelter, it really boosts my mood to pet cats and kittens for 2 hours.
It took my cat Sophie over a year to become a lap cat. Similar situation, I got her from the shelter as an adult and it was her third home. She became cuddlier after I got back from a two week trip, guess she missed me!
I'm so sorry about your kitty. He had a cutie pie face and the fluffiest tail. I must say, you're an amazing writer. Your story made me cry. Losing them is awful, no matter how it happens. Sounds like you gave him a great home where he had lots of cat friends and stuffed animals.
I feel your pain. My cat was my baby & my whole world. The only reason I have a new cat is because he just showed up in my backyard. He's great but he can't hold a candle to Sophie. Miss her so much. If you do get a new kitty, we want pictures!
