Jtbo - those are some amazing photos. I get the idea that a feral that has grown up amongst a certain ecosystem will do what it needs to do to survive. If one of my ferals should suddenly be faced with bears at the food station - I'm not sure they would ever cone back lol
So much life outside our closed doors and windows! I love it - until I get the notion that my ferals are in danger!! Tiger Cat - No more worries about momma oreo cat being afraid or getting hurt!! yay! Really pleasantly surprised at how well they are taking the changes! Ggod vibes your way
I'm not sure how old he is. Only started coming around (visibly) about 2 years ago. I think after I got all the other kitties neutered he could be less sneaky about getting food.
TNR really calms the cats and let's the colony take a community shape.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and...
My taming concerns lay more so with the adult cat. I've taken in the one (due to medical necessity). He is quite happy to be indoors - but only when he is in his own room (he has a bedroom to himself).
I know that time is the best thing and he has already come such a long way. (he purrs now...
aww I hope he feels better soon. Do you have a nice hiding place for him to go? I found my rehab feral (Dusty) was much less anxious after I built him a little secure fort.
I saw some of my guys!! They look great - that makes me very happy!! Still no sign of my old deaf feral Ronald - I'm hoping he has come around to eat and I just haven't seen him yet.
Boy, if this furry ferals only knew how much we worried for them!

I'm also suffolk county LI (ronk) and got the 30". :( Last winter was so mild - this was a first for at least 7 of my 16. I'm more concerned for my old man ronald (deaf).
I saw 3 of them today, made me feel better. Hearing that Bella is choosing to stay in her house makes me believe that...
How is everyone hanging in there? I know I've been digging out cat shelters and restocking dry food stations... I've only seen 3 out of 16 cats (so far) at my home colony.
I know I'll be worrying until I get a full head count.
How about everyone else?
Firstly - I want to say that your compassion for the homeless cats is wonderful.
About GOR - I am a volunteer and I work solely on trapping. The only time I see an office or a computer is when I am walking passed a desk at a vet clinic to drop off or pick up a feral. I have no knowledge of...
