I have two British Shorthair cats:

Ronin, the kitten was originally a seal tabby point cat and is registered as such. Like most pointed cats he's gotten darker all over as he's gotten older, but not quite as dark as his eartips...
I have two cats, a tiny adult spayed female and a giant male kitten. Both have lived together happily for six months even as the male outgrew the female. We live in an apartment with no other nearby cats. They never go outside.
He was always dominant over her, even as a small kitten -...
This is what I did. I cut them up first and put small bits into their minced food, then over a week the bits got bigger.
I never fed pinkies to my cats.
Hmm... not really a helpful answer. I'll take their advice, but it's a one line reply that didn't actually address my question and doesn't give me a lot of confidence that they actually know the answer or thought about the question much...
Thanks LDG,
That's a pity to hear that. I really hate the little caps - they always seem to pop open and spray everywhere for me.
I did write to BioProsper Labs (Nexabiotic) but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'll let you know if they answer differently.
Hi Peaches,
As LDG noted they're gassed with CO2 and frozen. It's painless and hygienic.
I would have thought the blood would be high in protein and iron too. A lot of places in Asia still use blood in their cooking regularly. I never developed much of a liking for it myself but I don't...
It's very satisfying watching them eat mice for some reason. They crunch and chew and shake them around. The faces they pull as the work it from side to side are hilarious.
This is a long digression from the OP but this is what I was trying to get at - mice are what cats are supposed to eat...
LDG,
Do you know whether the Nexabiotic strains are resistant to freezing? The caps are so darn fiddly I've thought at times it would be convenient to make up a batch of minced meat patties spiced with probiotics then freeze them.
If freezing kills them then obviously that's a good way to...
Yes, I'm still stumbling around too.
I have seen a few people say they had to start higher than 10% and then tapered back over time.
Like many newbies I'm almost sure I'm over-thinking things. I'm trying to learn about three different feeding styles (prey, frankenprey and ground raw)...
