I think I got them at the 99 cent store. When I got into raw feeding, everyone was talking about these little containers they portioned off & put into the freezer. They're a great size. I was trying to think of using them for gardening but don't want all that plastic.
Is there anyone in the Sacramento area that freezes their cat food? I bought tons of these little plastic containers & of course my cats won't eat any raw food anymore. I have probably 50+, 2 bags full. Would love to be able to give them to someone. They are the perfect size for storing.
wow well I'm learning things from you! Thanks :) At least the website lists that it's no organs or just duck frames. When I saw that I was like what the heck is a duck frame. Had no idea about stuff like that! I guess it's always good to read the fine print.\
I did get a response - here it...
I don't know where you're looking but it's pretty clear to me that the whole animal is used - read 1st ingredient.
Chicken, chicken heart, chicken liver, herring oil, mixed tocopherols (preservative), vitamin E supplement, zinc amino acid complex, iron amino acid complex, copper amino acid...
I looked up the True Carnivores website, saw the ground quail. It doesn't say anything about whether it's frozen or what. I can't imagine grinding up a dead animal & just packaging it & then shipping it. I would think it would be dripping in blood. YUCK. This is why I deal with freeze dried...
So I have been using this brand off & on for a couple of years now. I buy the nuggets & crush them up, put water on it & make a slurry. I have always felt "rocks" when mixing it up with my fork. I wrote the company after I picked out good sized chunks of bone & they told me in 2022 that they had...
I crush it too. The little nuggets are so hard packed that who knows how long it would take for the water to penetrate them. I have been feeding Vital Essentials, I have a very picky cat & she won't eat NW Naturals anymore. :( It's a good product.
One of my cats love fuzzy blankets. She nurses on them & occasionally, thankfully not very often, she will squirt butt juice on the blanket. It just happened last night so that's why I came on here to see if anyone else's cat does this. It's terribly stinky, smells like fish & poop & it's dark...
I'm considering after all these years in getting a litter mat, how does it work for you? I usually just put a sheet on the floor but am wondering if there's a better option.
****update*****
She stayed in the cat carrier up until bedtime, so 1130am to 9ish. I got her to come to the bed & lay down on my legs. I gave her a little bit of Feline Natural freeze dried & she gobbled that up, so that made me feel better she ate something. She doesn't want any food in the am...
She's had the food before, no issue. What I think might have happened is she didn't eat anything last night. I always put a can of food out before bed & lately she's been turning her nose up at it. So if she didn't eat all night & then scarf the raw down, that might be the problem. She's still...
Weird. I bought some frozen chicken, my cat ate some around 8-815 am, she just threw it all up 3 hours later & now looks sick. She looks like she doesn't feel well at all. She even went & got in the cat carrier.
I hope there's nothing wrong with the frozen food.....
I always read clay is the worst for dust but when I had the girl in my profile pic, I used Arm & Hammer Super Scoop & there was no dust. On a black cat, if there's dust, you're gonna see it. I wanted to see if the product changed so I actually just bought some about a week ago, I poured it into...
I've been using Pioneer Pet Smart Cat grass litter for about the last year. No dust but it tracks BAD. As I was getting tired of all the litter everywhere, I thought I would tray Petco & Petsmart brands of grass seed. The Petco one is definitely less dusty than Petsmart. I dumped the Petsmart...
The least worst dry food I have found is Young Again & Ziwipeak. Most of their products have low carb content, that's why those are the only ones I would purchase.
Fudge that's crazy. That would drive me insane if they did stuff like that. I wouldn't know how to deal with an animal not using the toilet in the right manner.
My 3 have grown up together so for the most part they get along well. One asserts herself to be the queen & the others fall in line...
