I woke up 5:30am this morning and went straight to his box and blanket were he was resting and he greeted me with a low meow. My heart is in absolute pieces! I wanted to prolong it but seeing his health degrade so quickly and struggling to breathe......I knew I had to do it. I didn't want him to...
My little buddy Toby crossed the rainbow bridge today. I wanted to thank you all for your shared kindness and compassion. Toby helped me so much when my mother passed during the covid pandemic. He was a beautiful little soul who always choose to surrender to my mushies and kisses. I'm going to...
I tried to bring him to his regular vet for blood work and xray but they couldn't take him because they didn't have the vets there today. I ended up going back to the ER vet and when I got there, they told me that the lab results came back from Monday and that it was indeed cancer. They asked me...
BTW, I started giving him the Methimazole again. Today is day 3. He seems a little better but only comes out of hiding when he's hungry. I hope it's a little help to his discomfort!
She said that the masses were around his lungs which explain the fluid build up. I'm hoping now that it's the HyperT and not cancer. For the Methimazole, it states 5 mg/ml. Sorry for the quick response, I need to get ready for work now. Thank you Ellen for your help and concern!
The ER doctor did say something about it possibly being heart related but she thinks that it's most likely some form of cancer because of the masses (tumors) that they saw. If it is HCM like you said, could he get better with medication? The Methimazole is liquid and Im suppose to administer 0.5...
Hi everyone!
I've had my buddy Toby for 17 years now. This past Saturday, I noticed he was lying down in front of my entry door which he never really does. This continued Sunday and on Monday, I decided to take him to the emergency vet. Last time I had taken him to the vet was last year in...
I would mind actually. What I do know is that any sleep med won't allow restorative deep REM sleep which is what we all need for a good night's rest and the cause of the foggy headedness.
I've been thinking about that as well but I don't want to jump the gun until I know for certain from my doctor if I'm truly allergic to my cats or something! My co-worker said it might even be seasonal allergies I'm experiencing but these symptoms only happen at night when I'm sleeping.
BTW, I took a Benadryl Wednesday night that my co-worker gave me and it DEF helped me sleep straight through the night! I needed that so bad!! I also read online that taking Benadryl as a sleep aid is NOT GOOD so there goes that!
I used to bathe mine when I lived with my ex-fiance. I've tried to do it by myself but its WAY TO DANGEROUS for just one person! Yes, I trimmed their nails as well!! lol
Thank you ALL for your input and thoughts!
I've had these symptoms before moving into my studio actually. They just weren't that frequent. I suppose since this is the first time I've been in a smaller place, the allergies have been overwhelming me.
I'm def going to ask my doctor when I see her...
So its looking like I have or am developing an allergic reaction to my cats. Just want to know how if any of you have and deal with this situation. I've been having terrible sleep for the past 10 weeks now since I moved to a studio apartment. I used to live in a 2br and would sleep in my room...
I have an 11 and 9 year old. I moved into a smaller studio apartment 2 months ago and they are STILL fighting from time to time. I HAVE TO intervene because they get into a death grip lock and bunny kick each other till patches of fur are all over the place! Its too serious for me NOT to do...
Thank you for the info!
I just ordered FF on Amazon. They had a good deal so I went for it. I've been adding 1 tsp of water to their wet meals since I now know that Urethal blockages happen mainly from lack of water in a cats diet. I don't understand why this is more common knowledge??!? I...
So my cat Toby had surgery 2 months ago for a Urethral blockage. They removed 4 stones. They prescribed Science Diet but its kind of expensive. Did some research homework and here I am. Used to feed them dry in morning and wet at night. Its now 1 week of all wet canned food. Wet food isn't...
