Not really chill pills but anything that I can use besides chamomile or Jackson Galaxy's stuff (let's not go there) to calm Cooper. He's more hyperactive then Treasure was and is terrorizing all the other cats.
One of my friends is buying me a pet carrier. My question is: Would Cooper trust me again after me shutting the carrier on him. Or maybe try with Shaman? I don't want any of them to leave me forever because they no longer trust me.
Ok ordered. I guess if nothing Shaman would use it. At...
I was talking to Calico. Sorry for the confusion. I know she's popped over to my other thread but wasn't sure if she read that entire thread. And yes behaviorist do work with ferals. Absolutely. But the ones in my silly state are hundreds of miles away from me. But yes you are in the...
Sorry if I didn't mention it in the from feral to lap cat thread but they were NOT living inside a house. The man left his doors open, 80 cats wandered in and out of the house several times eating. These cats were 100% feral cats. And I know this will sound controversial but taking care of...
Ugh the mackerel idea didn't work. She still bolted the minute she saw Cooper at the sight of him and this was after both of them were rubbed with mackerel. I'm at wits end. By the time I get money to buy this carrier poor Shaman will be dead from mal nutrition because of being run off all...
I just checked on cam while waiting on Mom. Shaman snuck in and ate 1/4 cup worth of food I left out and took off. I’ll have to add carrier to my list as 99% of my earnings sites/apps are Amazon only.
Oh yea Shaman likes to take 3 bites, come and brush against my leg and then eat a bit more. Which is why feeding her is so hard especially in the winter because any of the cats see me and they come scaring her off.
The cats are trained btw to sleep all through the night and playing all day...
I'm not sure because it seems that all Cooper wants to do is play. Granted he's just over a year old and younger then Shaman and she's not a playful cat. I saw that even when Treasure was with us and they were best of friends. I layed cloth down and Cooper tore it up or rather the ones that...
If you read my From Feral to Lap cats thread you can see that the 3 cats have plenty of food, water, toys and all. These are only 3 cats. I could understand if I was dealing with 15 or 20 cats but 3 should not be difficult to get some kind of insight on.
The problem is at one time all of these cats were best of friends. Then when Treasure got into that fight something happend to the remaining three. They have all been TNRd and left in my yard. But since I'm half dead from illness and it's currenty 15 degrees and have very ill and elderly...
I'm at wits end over this. No cat behaviorists nearby to assist me with this situation. Isn't there such a thing as free consultation with one before I travel 200 miles? Plus is there any kind of financial assistance for all of this. If I was dealing with 15 to 20 feral cats I'd understand...
I don't use those with Cooper as they scare him. Last time I pulled a towel out near him I thought he would rip me to shreds. Not sure if it's association with something or not.
BTW: How do I handle feeding on the shopping tragedy days? I have 5 minutes to poke outside and give food but...
Thanks. Pretty much what I was thinking. BTW: how would you get my situation with the cats (some of them were friends at one time) and adapt the advice in this article to my situation. Sorry for all the questions.

Now to figure out the equation to all of this as I usually buy the 13 oz cans of Friskies with a few 5.5 oz cans. And often times I can't even get the can foods. So what would be a good portion for her on dry food if that's all I have for her? I'm as clueless with math as I am with technology
Oh and I won't give up. I'm just looking at the area on cam right now seeing how I can arrange it all (once and for all except for the Mom alerts) that will entice Cooper into the tent or playpen to eat.
I'll just portion her's out for the day and split into 2 meals for her as dinner time is...
Thanks. Then I won't need to worry about it any more today for her. It's sad that I have to stay hidden indoors when she eats but I do want her to eat.
