I had a dog years ago that was put to sleep due to a lung tumor. Her health declined rapidly and when we took her to the vet there wasn't much we could do. I feel we did everything right with her but in the end I don't believe there was anything we could have done to prevent it. It's just one...
Cats are curious by nature. Give her time, before you know it she'll be jumping on everything.
She's in a new environment so it's going to take her some time to get use to everything, including you.
She'll come around eventually.
I'm shocked that after all that you haven't' already seen a doctor. I know money may be tight but this is your life and that's not something you want mess around with.
I'm sending some healing vibes your way and hopefully things will be ok.
Inside only. I would worry about Gizmo constantly if I let him roam freely outside. The only time I would ever consider letting him out is if I had some kind of cat enclosure but without that I just wouldn't feel comfortable.
I would just like to add that I have a collar from ragtime (and the boomerrang tags) and I think it's great. The collars are very durable but if the cat ever gets into trouble, it'll breakaway easily. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good collar. I use to have a bell too but...
Gizmo will for the most part tolerate being picked up. He has to be in the right mood and if he isn't he'll definitely let me know. Typically if he's just walking around I can pick him with no problem. When he's relaxed though and laying down, well that's pretty much his don't bother me time.
Wow I have rented anything in probably 10 years. I watch a lot more online now and occasionally the ones I really like I purchase. Or I just for the movie to come on HBO or cinemax.lol
Fancy Feast is all Gizmo will eat as well. I spent a small fortune in the past buying high quality canned food only to have him turn his nose up at most of it. I was feeding him Nutro Max for a while which made me feel a little better about feeding FF but I've since had to put my boy on a diet...
I'm not sure if I believe in the whole ghost thing. Although a few years back in a previous house I swear I could hear strange noises coming from the attic. It was like someone was walking around or moving something. One time I actually stood on my bed, put my hand up to the ceiling and I could...
I have NEVER text anyone anything ever. I just can't see what the big deal is. If I have something to say to someone I'll just call them up and tell them.
Nope none of mine are on the list.
I'm not surprised though. I has one dog named Jackie who passed a few years back and another named Misty and or course Gizmo the cat. Actually Gizmo seems to be a fairly common name just not enough to be in the top 10 I guess.:lol3
Yeah I wouldn't consider giving that car up just yet.
I currently drive a 2007 ford focus but the car I traded for it was a 1993 Toyota Camry with 190,000 miles. The car was in great condition but was getting to the point of needing major repairs. When the AC finally went, in the dead of summer...
Having never owned a cat before I spent the next several months after getting Gizmo doing internet searches. At some point I stumbled upon TCS. I found the information here to be very helpful and the people to be quite friendly so after lurking around for a bit, I finally joined.
I stayed home the last couple of NYE and to be honest it's quite nice. Last night me and a couple of friends shared a bottle of champagne, watched Elf on tv, watched the ball drop in NY, toasted in the new and then called it a night.
Well I guess this works for some cats and others not so much.
I did the free feeding thing with Gizmo for a while and ended up with a 15 1/2 pound cat. Now I have him on a two meal a day schedule and strictly wet food. He's down to 14lbs now but he's still has a ways to go
