I have done about 6-7 hours with car rides and trains with my cat multiple times. And, honestly, it's always easier than expected.
Currently I have a nice soft carrier that extends on one side. It looks pretty cozy and he uses it as a bed at home too. If you can get them used to the carriers...
Yeah, the vet said that could be possible but he didn't think it was worth doing an xray yet..
Guess I'll give my cat a few more days and then call my vet again if there's no improvement. I'm really worried my cat is in pain.
I did tell the vet but he said everything was okay so he's not sure why he's eating oddly. Also said everything else in the check was okay so he's not worried about my cat being sick.
He eats fully wet food. And he does chew on one side more but not always.
If I offer a treat, he'll eat it. Or...
If he's neutered and there's no health issues, it could be anxiety.
I'd bring a litter box near problematic areas.
Make sure to clean with products for cat urine specifically otherwise he'll still smell it and will continue going there.
You can try spraying Feliway. I've started spraying it in...
My cat chipped one of his upper canines.
He's been favoring one side and making an odd noise (like teeth grinding maybe) while chewing.
We went to the vet. Vet said the chip was really minor, no exposed bulb, and that his teeth looked really good overall. Said to continue monitoring and come...
I always gave a variety of protein to my cat when he was a kitten, and continue to do so.
Was there a specific reason your vet recommended this?
It could possibly cause tummy troubles so maybe sticking with one brand and 2-3 flavours could help? Although I wouldn't switch out dry food that often...
We've seen the vets for other things before (he has asthma and was also sick a weekend, so he's had checkups and tests then), so I'm not sure it's a medical issue. I'll try and ask his vet, we need to schedule his yearly check-up soon anyway.
No previous animals in the apartment either...
Mine is 1 and a half now.. and to be honest, he's still very active. He's slowed down a little bit, but I think it's just his personality. He constantly wants to play together and never leaves me alone. I have trouble taking a bath alone haha. I think just having lots of toys around and things...
Hello,
My cat is about 1.5 years old and sometimes pees outside his litter box.
He's done it since he was a baby. It started with peeing on our blankets/bed. We didn't allow him in the bedroom unsupervised for a while, and he stopped. However, he then started peeing on stuff in the front...
I got insurance through Fetch, and I'm so happy with them. Customer service has always been easy to reach and friendly. They're quite fast at processing claims too. I didn't really have to show any extensive paperwork. I have a vet history document before him being sick, and I just resubmit that...
I'm sorry to hear your cat is not doing well, I hope he's a bit better now! I finally got my cat to eat normally again. Honestly, it was just patience and giving him the foods he loves. That's a lot of tuna wet food, some freeze-dried treats, quail egg, chicken broth... Offered the food to him...
I don't have pedialyte, unfortunately. He does drink from a water fountain, he has one set up. I also try adding some filtered water and broth to his food and he does drink it. He's eating a bit more but still not as much as he should... But, he seems to be doing okay. He's very energetic and...
I didn't see them myself. I was told there was slight indication of dehydration and stress, but that might just be from being sick. And, another thing was a bit high, but nothing for concern since the pancreatic test came back normal. I can probably ask the vet for more info.
He was given an...
Yes, I do have an emergency number! It just doesn't seem like an emergency. He is eating a little bit and nothing else seems wrong. He did just go and have a big of dry food too.
Yes, I've tried different wet food, but he didn't eat either (until I hand fed). Dry food is the same as usual. I don't have baby food on hand.. I might try to get some tomorrow when stores are open
Hello,
Posting on this thread again... Last Sunday, my cat, Hobbes, was vomiting all day, and again on Monday. I was able to see the vet on Tuesday. He did blood tests for various things. Everything came back normal. He was very out of it on Wednesday. However, today (Friday) and yesterday, he...
Hi! I wanted to jump in because I could really relate to this post. When we got our kitten, he was VERY needy. Always needed attention, always got in trouble. He was almost a full-time job. Both me and my boyfriend were worried we had made a terrible mistake by getting him. However, we...
Just jumping in, I submit everything to my insurance. It's their job to review the documents and figure out what's applicable. You might assume something isn't covered when it is. I recently went for a checkup because I wanted to discuss my cat's asthma, see if I could increase dosage of his...
My cat has asthma, and I use World Best Cat Litter (unscented version). It's a natural corn litter, clumps really nicely. It also says 99% dust free on the bag, which I also agree I haven't noticed much dust at all.
