Also, the amount of white on a cat doesn't affect whether they're tabby or not. Whiteness does not eliminate tabbiness. A tabby cat that is mostly white will still have tabby patterns in the non-white areas, and pass those tabby genes to any kittens they have.

There's a chocolate modifier in cats, too, which is different from the brown you get with black + tabby. It turns a solid black coat dark brown and a tabby coat light brown with dark brown (not black) markings. Pointed cats with this modifier are just called chocolate points. 🙂
