Hello
So, When I am not here, my mum just gets the cats out, and they don't get any food, this is why they are happy to eat the dry food.
Other than saving a little bit of money, the main reasons is the smell and all the pests that come when I deal with wet food, from flies, slugs, snails...
Hello
Sorry for any and all confusion caused.
A basic breakdown of events
Cat 1, 2 and 3 are all brothers, sadly we lost one (cat 1) in 2021. They all eat Dry Food A (cat 1 didn't eat wet food)
Cat 4 and 5 came later, cat 5 eat dry Food B and wet food.
Cat 5 died and kept them on dry food B...
Hello
So, about 18 months ago, I noticed that one of my cats would be sick after eating his dry food, I didn't know why, but, I normally mix the old bag, with the new, and none of my other cats were being sick, okay, we get my cat checked out, turns out his teeth need removing, so we put all...
Yeah I have tried to get the records of all 5 of my cats who went there… one is French (my step mum moved to France, died of cancer and we took in her obese cat) but he died several years ago, and 2 of my other cats died in 2021, so just having 2 cats left, but the main vet moved back to France...
mostly there is nothing coming out from his nose, I know this as I tend to use either a paper plate or just regular A4 paper to protect my food, and about 15inches to 4 inches there is nothing on the paper.
I say mostly as when he has just had a drink, or just eaten he does… but it’s mostly from...
Hey
So, I got my oldest 2 cats who are now 15 or are very soon... and they fitted in with their older brother - biologically. I noticed 2 issues - one was that one of them injured his leg, - it still hurts him every several months if he does some stupid things... and the other cat, well, he...
The dog has now gone back home, my eldest cats are no longer happy with this Tom, he has got into my room twice, and Bollo and Taffy were not impressed, and whenever he enters their home they go after him.
I am keeping weekly weight checks of kittens and mum, who although extremely thin now...
Yeah, keeping mum and kittens in the wardrobe, as much as possible mum comes down to eat, use bathroom etc, and only last night at 2 weeks old, she let us hold/check the kittens over.
we must of picked up a tick from outside ourselves or one of my other cats dropped one on us, as there was a...
Hello
so, an update and needing advice please.
so, mum has taken the kittens to a more quiet place in the house, she didn’t like people coming to the house, either entering our front garden to collect a ball, the post/delivery people or family.
the last 24 hours, a Tom has shown up again, he...
Yeah, all normal, she was just tired...
She has had a drink, no signs of stress, and she is fast asleep.
I have not really been around newborn kittens before... I mean I have, but was a lot younger and I used to faint at any bodily fluid, but now I have helped deliver 5 kittens. I have kept a...
Yeah, we now have 5.
the 5th one had bits stuck. Mum was too tired to get the last placenta out, the kitten was out and latched on, but she fell asleep before the placenta came out.
when can I leave her tonight? It’s 12:15am… not sure should I stay up, pull an all nighter or leave her to it?
Hello
so, I will cut a longish story short.
in june we got 3 kitten, adopted, born outside unloved semi feral parents
we were told they were born sometime in the last week of April 2022. They were 2 boys and 1 girl, with another couple that the adopted people couldn’t get to yet… but was told...
Hello
It dosen't look good here, he has now stopped eating completely. he is drinking still. He is looking very frail and is going down hill fast.
Today is my nieces 4th birthday, but we think he wont be here Monday. if you know what I mean...
Yeah, without a blood test the answer is not set in stone, I should of mentioned that he is going back in a week or so to weigh him, and they are going to give him something that will allow them to take a blood test to confirm or deny their main theory.
We don't have any medication (yet) as...
okay... bad news - I can't deal with this...
So, the vet checked his teeth, they seem normal for a cat of 14. They think he has Maine coon DNA as he is a big boy, which would explain why his brothers are big too, Bollo, who has eaten about 30% of bubbles food has gained weight, he is now about...
Okay, I am angry and upset...
I spoke to my mum yesterday, regarding all the info you have given, my mum said she will ask my sister results of tests etc. The vet they saw didn't really care, he was from another country and his english was bad. My sister said he checked only the tooth I knocked...
The other vets I have spoken too are online only due to money and coronavirus, however I believe that he may of been seen by my sisters vet, who looked after my other cat when he became blind... we had to use them as PDSA were literary only seeing pets who were at critical life threatening...
my main vet is the PDSA, where I am autistic I am also disabled and I know this may sound strange to you...
I tend to worry, i mean extreme levels here, and I go over every outcome, this is until I find out the news/results and then it goes completely out of my head.
I can't take any of my...
