I'm pretty much in the same situation, with the same worries.
P+P will be 8yo the end of May, and I just turned 64 last month. But, all 3 of us have chronic health concerns. We make quite the team. 🙄
@LadyLondonderry
I think there's a difference between stating an opinion, and insisting that "I'm the vet, not you. I'm right, you're wrong!" The first one cares about the patient. The second cares more about their fragile ego.
Story time:
Four years ago, my cat was at our vet clinic for the...

Personally, I'd set out frequent, small meals throughout the day - just so he understands that he won't have to be hungry in his new home. Then slowly move meal times further apart as he settles in - so he doesn't get fat. :winkcat:
Also, his appetite will likely increase as he...
In our case, small amounts and short term use, the powder makes more sense cuz it won't expire like the liquid will.
Otherwise, I'd definitely go with the liquid form! :winkcat:
(LOL thinking how long it's been since I've mixed formula!)
@Mamanyt1953
That's my fervent hope! She was already doing a bit better by the evening of our emergency vet visit.
(The pain meds might've helped . . . :winkcat: )
It's taken 2 weeks, but she sure seems to be back to her bouncy self. <toes crossed!>
@Maurey , oopsie. Yes, KMR. :frustrated:

The large, red font below is not aimed at you!
It is to catch the eye of others.
I apologize for

Question:
Our vet has ok'd me giving Patter some KRM with her food for one meal a day, but I'd like input on how to go about it. Can I just add a bit of powder to her food, or does it need to be at least partly reconstituted?

I need to make a new thread for Patter updates, but I don't know where or what to call it . . .

This afternoon, I talked with the woman who will be taking Patter and me to the specialist for the ultrasound. It's made everything real.

⦁ Vet put him on 2.5mg of Prednisolone twice a day and tapered it off to 2.5mg twice a week of IBD.

⦁ Seems agitated after taking Prednisolone.
⦁ Worried about the side effects of long term use of Prednisolone.

When my Patter was spayed, the vet removed her just her ovaries and left the uterus alone. She just had a small incision only her side. She came home and napped, but was pretty much back to her usual self by bedtime. No cone, no onesie.
If the incision is on the lower belly, it indicates they...
If I could make this font bigger and have flashing lights, I would.
I've had about 13 bone marrow biopsies and
I have a VERY STRONG OPINION on them.

It's an awesome plant! I take the capsules on a regular basis and it seems to be helping some inflammation issues of mine . . . For what it's worth, the tincture works faster to stop a dry hacking cough. ;)
I used guaifenesen for years + years and then I discovered Mullein tincture a while back. I have COPD and it's worked wonders for me! Makes coughs productive instead of just dry hacking. It's just about freakin' instantaneous!
I'm stocked up on it and also Mullein leaf capsules. :redheartpump:
