    Struggling With Play Time

For now I've just picked up anything she's gotten protective over and started feeding them separately. I don't want to do anything before I have a plan in place and know what I'm doing. I don't want to make the resource guarding worse. Figure they could use some times to build their overall...

    Second Fosters

Thank you. They're exhausting, but at least they sleep a lot. I'm definitely no expert on figuring out the breed, but they do seem good at sniffing things out and they have a stubborn streak. They can find every tiny crumb of a treat in the grass outside.

I think that too until I think of them asking me for food all the time. If I'm being honest, I'm a little out of my league with the resource guarding. I've never had an issue with it before. Stella can be a bit snippy over her food and toys at times, but she never makes contact and it's never...

    Struggling With Play Time

I'd like to know too. I do think I remember more of the end with Lamont and he really was quite easy. We also didn't let Leon and Lamont run around the house much in the beginning. But there are some ways in which these two are more of a handful. They're less snuggly. Leon and Lamont would be...

    Second Fosters

Hey everyone! I got my second pair of fosters this past Sunday. I think they may be lab/hound crosses, but not sure. They have good noses on them! Their both girls and their names are Zena and Zara. Well, Zara's "official" name is Yellow Dog, but we weren't about to go around calling her Yellow...

    Struggling With Play Time

Haha. Maybe a little. I swear I don't usually hand feed them though! I just didn't know if it was the bowl or if he just didn't want to eat. It was a close call for sure. They are good all things considered. They're a handful and probably more trouble and Leon and Lamont were, but they aren't...

    Struggling With Play Time

I am. He seems fine though. I don't know what that was about. It was like he forgot how to eat out of his bowl, but after I hand fed him, he licked it clean and hasn't had a problem since. They are doing well. Getting more inquisitive and a little more interested in the cats. Frost is always...

    Struggling With Play Time

Cute, but not very helpful. Ash wasn't eating right yesterday. No clue what happened. My work is back to normal hours, so my mom fed them first dinner and said he acted like he couldn't eat. I put the bowl down and watched long enough to see him look like he was eating, but got busy with pups...

    Struggling With Play Time

Who knows with him. He let me pick him up off the floor and put him on my lap and he stayed for a few minutes. Then he followed me around the kitchen while I tried to put dishes away. Yes, she's long-haired. Not like the boys. Sort of long, thin fur rather than floofy fur. I wish I could say...

    Struggling With Play Time

Ash was weirdly affectionate for a bit today, but other than that still normal. She really does. I'd like to help them, but it's like I have my own animals to take care of and I didn't sign up for helping nervous cats. Truthfully, I didn't sign up to work with such an aggressive cat as Tulip...

What breed of cat do you think these guys are

The adult looks to be a brown mackerel tabby and white. The kitten is a blue and white bicolor. I don't see any breed influences. Most cats don't have any particular breeds in them and are just considered domestic long/medium/short hair.

What do you think our kitty’s breed is?

Midge is a brown mackerel tabby and Malibu is a brown ticked tabby. Both are domestic short hairs. I don't see any breed influences in either of them. Most cats don't have any breeds in them, unlike dogs who have been bred much longer. DNA tests are fun, but highly inaccurate.

    Struggling With Play Time

Well, we're sort of just assuming Ash is fine at this point. He isn't peeing on things (that we know of) so can't really say how much he's going or see what color it is. He acts fine, but that doesn't really tell me much because he never actually acts like anything is wrong. Not much prevents...

    Struggling With Play Time

I called the clinic this morning. I was told to get through the rest of the anti-inflammatory and if he was still peeing blood after that then we'd probably have to get him in for x-rays to check for bladder stones. He seems to be doing okay today. Acting normally. I don't see him drinking much...

    Struggling With Play Time

I'm just so ready to get out of here... Ash gave me a bit of a scare today and I don't really know what to think. He barely peed once, got in the litter box twice and did nothing, but then shortly after peed a decent amount. And it doesn't seem like there's anymore blood. He seemed a bit out of...

    Struggling With Play Time

They really don't care at all. That girl knows exactly what her dog is doing and yet it's still able to get loose again and again. My vet really is a life-saver. And he said if Ash stopped urinating completely then to call him day or night. I think Ash has gotten pretty used to the Gabapentin...

    Struggling With Play Time

Oh, that's fine. I'm so tired of all the loose dogs. I can't walk through my own town without worrying about what dog might be loose and which are aggressive, if they'll attack Stella... I'm so ready to move. This dog should've been taken away a while ago if it's been doing this so much. I...

    Struggling With Play Time

It was terrifying to be quite honest. And I might've had a bit of a break down afterwards. We drove down on my mom's lunch break to get their address and reported it to the police and animal control as it's the second incident. The girl who lives there came out and was watching us until my mom...

    Struggling With Play Time

Yeah, it's definitely possible. I actually did get sick at the beginning of this. I was tested for the flu and came up negative, but the doctor just assumed I had strep. They weren't testing for corona unless you had some pretty specific symptoms at that point. It's still probably unlikely I had...

    Struggling With Play Time

I had a bit of a scare today. A long-haired GSD--same one I had to deal with a while back and ended up in my brother's fenced in yard because of--got loose. Again. I was walking Stella home from our walk and I heard it barking, but that's nothing new. I happened to look back just to see the dog...
