    Royal canine bengal

My little guy thrives on Royal Canin, and its in the rotation of foods I feed the rest of the colony, too. They all love it and do well with it. The Aging 12 really encourages my eldest to eat better. Never feed Bengal food, that said; we're a crowd of rescues here.

What DRY food do you feed your cat(s), and their ages? I need something more affordable but good.

Thanks for this; I didn't see the reply until now and its hours later.

Looking For A Wet Food Recommendation (Canada)

He's actually doing really well with the OM. What's coming out the other end is actually improving. I just need to find a container to keep it in. He's with me all the time and so is his food, and no matter what, the gravy in the OM leaks. So my mission to-morrow is to find a jar with a...

What DRY food do you feed your cat(s), and their ages? I need something more affordable but good.

Recalls, recalls and more recalls. A great many dead animals, too, on the part of Iams. As I recall, Blue Buffalo paid out the biggest class action law suit in pet food history. I know anything and everything can have trouble at some point, but those two don't just take the cake, they take the...

Is my cat a black ragdoll?

Your cat is gorgeous. Be gad he's a DLH and not a purebred.

What DRY food do you feed your cat(s), and their ages? I need something more affordable but good.

Cats range from nineteen and a half to five years of age, with all but two of the eleven cats being seniors. Morgenne eats Hill's k/d dry. She's our eldest. I also feed Royal Canin Aging 12, Natural Balance Duck and Green Pea, and Royal Canin Special 33 (its called "Digestive" now, but I don't...

    Bright Blood in Feces

Check bums to see if anyone is wearing any evidence. Notice if anyone is frantically cleaning themselves after going to the box and check their bum and the box. If someone is a litter box rocket, check them out. If you notice someone in the box, check it when they're done. You'll narrow it down...

Cow, chicken, turkey, quail, duck, lamb...Animals commonly used in pet foods, or consumed by people who haven't gone vegan yet. That's all.

Looking For A Wet Food Recommendation (Canada)

So, the Science Diet Light seems to be back in stock, and we've added Purina OM in lieu of the Perfect Weight, and so far, so good.

    Stray Pretty Kitty Losing Hair

If you get the wrong cat, just let them back out again and try it again. You could try mounting a corner groomer if there's a spot for it, but if he's matted, the only thing that will help is proper grooming, either with combs or at the veterinarian.

Question of the Day - Tuesday, November 2

Doris Bryant. Not a celebrity but I've read her books over and over again and would love to sit and have a cat chat with her. Dusty Springfield, too. She was notorious for her love of cats.

Persistent Kitten Diarrhea - Canned or Raw Recs

You don't know with FortiFlora until you try it. I've had it work well and I've had it fail miserably. I think it really depends on the cat.

Whats your thoughts on firstmate brand? And other questions

Yeah, its made here in Ontario. I guess it hasn't made it beyond the borders yet. I didn't realize that. Sorry.

Whats your thoughts on firstmate brand? And other questions

Lifetime is a good one if cost is an issue but you still want decent quality, and is easy on the stomach. Far superior to Blue, but then, so is mud, grass, asbestos...They don't make a wet food, though. Loveables is less than a dollar for a 5.5oz can.

Persistent Kitten Diarrhea - Canned or Raw Recs

Ask your veterinarian about Tylan versus the Metronydazole (sp?). Sometimes it just works better, and its safer.

    Favorite Food!

President's Choice pouches usually go down just fine with this colony. I can't say anything is ever 100%, though. The closest would be Fancy Feast Liver and Chicken, Science Diet Salmon pate, Performatrin Utra Salmon Bisque. They love Heinz strained chicken, but its only a treat as it isn't...

    Calming collars?

I tried the Sentry calming collar. It did seem to help, although I didn't put it on the cat; I put it in his stroller with him and it seemed to help him get used to traveling.
